National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued an important public notice, announcing an extension in the NEET 2022 registration deadline. Accordingly, the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) 2022 registration is scheduled to end on Friday, March 20, 2022, at 9:00 pm. Counting today, May 16, 2022, candidates have 5 days’ time to fill and submit the online form. The application form has been uploaded online, on the official website neet.nta.nic.in.
NTA will also be providing a separate NEET 2022 correction window. Using this window, candidates will be able to make corrections in their submitted application form.
NEET 2022 Registration – Extension of 5 Days
NTA had issued a similar public notice on May 05, 2022, announcing an extension in registration deadline to May 15, 2022, 9:00 pm. This was done owing to the reason mentioned below –

The agency however, has further extended the NEET 2022 registration deadline by 5 days. So, that last date to submit the online form is May 20, 2022, up to 9:00 pm. Similarly, the deadline for successful transaction of application fee is May 20, 2022, up to 11:50 pm.
NEET 2022 Registration – Why deadline got extended?
Although the public notice does not directly, cite the reason for NEET 2022 deadline extension, one can easily get an idea. Based on the information covered in the issued notice, deadline was extended to provide more time for FEMALE candidates to apply for the B.Sc (Nursing) Course 2022 at the Armed Forces Medical Science (AFMS) institutes.
NEET 2022 Correction Window – Dates & Details
As of now, NTA has not announced the dates for NEET 2022 correction window. Assuming that the registration process will end on May 20, 2022, the correction window may open from May 21 to 24, 2022. This prediction is based on the sequence of events for 2021 session.
The NEET 2021 application process had ended on August 10, 2021, after getting extended multiple times. Thereafter, students could use the correction window from August 11 to 14, 2021.
One is for certain – the NEET 2022 correction window can be accessed only through the online mode. The agency will not be accepting any corrections or rectification through post, fax or in-person. Furthermore, no corrections will be accepted post correction facility.
The NEET 2022 entrance exam is all set to be conducted on Sunday, July 17, 2022. The test will be held in a single setting, from 2:00 pm to 5:20 pm, through the OMR-based pen-and-paper mode.
