Medical Council Of India prescribes the syllabus of NEET. Now, since National Testing agency (NTA) takes charge of NEET in 2019 and onwards, candidates are baffled on what will be the syllabus now. Well, it is confirmed by MHRD Minister Mr Prakash Javadekar, that apart from the examination being held twice a year and in online mode nothing else will change. The NEET 2019 syllabus remains unchanged and students are assured that the same syllabus as last year, will be valid for NEET 2019.

The syllabus of NEET 2019 will be the same as that of last year. Which indicates candidates will have the same subjects – Biology, Physics, Chemistry. NTA will frame the questions as per the MCI recommended syllabus only. Thus, all the NEET 2019 aspirants can refer to the previous year’s syllabus of NEET.

Since 2013, a common syllabus is being referred by all NEET aspirants that were prescribed by the MCI. Even in 2019, after the conducting body is changing the same syllabus is being sued to frame the questions. Not only NEET 2019, all other major entrance exams that NTA will take charge of from 2019, will still have the old syllabus. There are no changes in syllabus, examination fee, nature of questions and language in which the examinations were being held.

NEET 2019 Syllabus will not change.

Now, it is assured to the candidates that they refer to the MCI prescribed syllabus for NEET 2019 preparations. The syllabus which MCI has prescribed contains topics of Class 11 and Class 12 from 4 subjects – Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. To score in NEET 2019, all the topics from the syllabus must be covered. No questions are framed out of the syllabus, thus preparing the topics prescribed in the NEET syllabus by MCI will be enough.

NEET exam from 2019 onwards will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA), twice a year and in Computer-Based Mose only. NEET 2019 exam dates have been declared at the press conference by Prakash Javadekar. NEET 2019 will be conducted from February 3 to 17, 2019 and then again on May 12 to 26, 2019. the examinations will be conducted in 8 different sittings, out of which the candidates have to select their most preferred slots.

The NEET 2019 application form will be available from October 01, 2018 for the February 2019 examination. However, for the May 2019 exam, the applications will be invited by NTA in the second week of March 2019.

Candidates will be able to appear in both the exams or can choose to appear in any one of them. The AIR will be published on the basis of the best scores out of the two exams. To appear in NEET 2019 exam there is no limit in attempts, which means, as long as you are fitting into all the eligibility criteria there are no limits on how many times you attempt NEET. There is an age limit for appearing in NEET. The lower age limit is 17 years and the upper age limit is 25 years for unreserved category. For SC/ST/OBC candidates the upper age limit is 30 years.
