Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the official NEET 2018 Answer Key today, on May 25, 2018. Along with the answer key, the OMR response sheet of all the candidates has also been uploaded on the official website, cbseneet.nic.in. The response sheet is the answer sheet on which the candidate has answered all the questions.
The students who appeared for NEET 2018 exam on May 06, 2018 can download the answer key by visiting the official website by clicking on candidates login. To access the login, the candidates will have to enter registration number and password. The answer key has been provided for all the sets of NEET. Hence, candidates must be careful while downloading it.
The candidates can use the answer key and OMR to evaluate their performance in the exam. In order to predict the score in the exam, the candidates need to cross-check the answers in the key with that in the OMR. If the answer matches, the candidates need to add 4 marks. On the other hand, if the answer does not match, then negative marking of 1 marks is to be done.
Now, that the answer key, as well as the OMR sheets of all the students has been released, the candidates can now raise the challenge to all of the above. CBSE has given the option of challenging official answer key, OMR sheet and the test booklet code for each of the candidate.
To challenge the answer key of NEET 2018, the candidates need to visit the official website and click on Online Challenge. To open the challenge portal, the candidates will have to enter registration number and password. It should be noted that for each objection, candidates will have to pay Rs. 1000 per objection. Also, the candidates must also submit a proof of challenge as well.
The answer key will only help the candidates in predicting the score but the final result of NEET 2018 will be announced by CBSE. The Board will prepare the result after analyzing all the challenges. The result will be declared on June 05, 2018. Candidates will have to check it from the candidate login. Through the result, the All India Merit and the State Merit of the candidates will be displayed.
The All India merit will be used to fill 15% All India Quota seats, in the MCC counselling. Whereas, the remaining seats will be filled by the state counsellings. The notification for MCC and state counselling will be available soon. It is expected that the MBBS and BDS admission will conclude by August.
