UPSC NDA 2020 exam consists of two papers i.e. Mathematics carrying 300 marks and GAT carrying 600 marks. Referring to the previous year question papers for Mathematics and GAT can help candidates analyze the pattern of the questions asked in these papers. In addition, one can also analyze the sections in the papers that carry higher marks. For example, sections of Algebra and Trigonometry in the Mathematics paper are regarded as high scoring. Well-prepared candidates target to accurately answer all of the questions in such sections in order to secure higher marks. Similarly, high scoring sections also exist in the GAT paper which consists of the subjects of English language and General Knowledge.

Candidates are often advised to solve mock tests during these last few days. Previous year question papers can also serve as simulated tests for the actual NDA 2020 exam. Candidates can set a timer of 2.5 hours i.e. the duration of each paper of the NDA exam and solve the previous year question papers as mock tests. Important questions from previous year NDA exams are often repeated. Candidates can also get acquainted with such common questions while referring to the previous year question papers. Knowing the answers to such questions can help candidates to secure a few extra marks in the NDA 2020 exam.

The GAT part of the NDA exam consists of questions from defence-related current events. Candidates can develop a very good idea of the type and nature of such questions that are typical to the NDA exam. During these last few days before the exam, the previous year question papers can also help to revise important subjects/topics based on which the typical NDA question papers are compiled. There is no time to waste before the exam commences. It is highly recommended that aspirants refer to existing papers of the NDA and equip themselves with adequate knowledge and learning to ace the NDA 2020 exam this year.
