Council of Architecture (CoA) will announce result for National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) Test 1 today, on September 04, 2020. The council was supposed to announce the result on September 03, 2020. However, in the recently released press release it has informed that the result has been delayed by 1 day. Along with this, CoA has also extended the last date to apply for NATA Test 2. Now the candidates can apply until September 06, 2020, 12.00 noon.
The result, as well as, the registration of NATA is only accessible on the official website, nata.in. To check the result of NATA 2020, candidates need to access the result login and enter application number, password, etc. On the other hand, to register for Test 2, candidates have to enter personal, education, contact etc details and pay application fee.
In the press release, NTA has also provided contact details, for aspirants seeking clarification. The release says, “For any further clarification, candidates may contact NATA Helpdesk at Email: [email protected] or NATA Toll Free No: 1800 8901 448 and NATA help Desk No: 9319275557, 730348773.”

Qualified students in NATA test 1 and 2 will be given admission into the First year of 5 year B.Arch. Degree Course in any institute / college in India.
NATA 2020 first test was held on August 29, 2020, as an online proctored exam and as a center-based CBT test. The second test will be also held in a similar manner on September 12, 2020.
The candidates are being offered a choice to appear for the exam in any one mode. The choice is to be mention while submitting the online form itself. To register for NATA 2020 test 2 have to fill in name, father’s name, mother’s name, mobile number, e-mail address, date of birth, etc. After sign up, candidates can fill details in the NATA application form, upload images, and pay the application fees.
The registered candidates will be issued admit card to appear for the 2nd test on September 7, 2020.
The candidates who have opted to appear for both the attempts of NATA 2020, will be given admission based on the best test score out of the two.
Mock test for home-based candidates is scheduled to be conducted prior to the examination i.e. September 7, 2020. CoA has requested candidates and parents to visit the official website frequently for important updates and queries.
The NATA examination is conducted every year across the country in a computer-based format. However, this year only, due to the pandemic, CoA has introduced the online proctored examination option. Using this method, candidates can take the exam form the safety of the residence.
The exam duration will be two hours and the question paper will carry 200 marks, divided into two sections. The first part is Part A, which is the Cognitive Skill Test (PTQ and MCQ). Part B is PCM, General Aptitude, and Logical Reasoning. In the First 45 minutes, Part B will be conducted and the last 72 minutes will be for Part A. There will be an interval of 3 minutes (rollover period) between Part-B and Part-A.
In Part A, there will be 10 questions for Cognitive skills for drawing and visual composition test. There will be 06 Questions of 10 Marks, 03 Questions for 16 Marks, and 01 Question for 17 Marks. So the total marks for Part A will be 125 Marks. While in Part B, there will be 15 Questions for PCM carrying 1.5 marks each and 35 Questions for GA & Logical Reasoning for carrying 1.5 Marks each. So the total weightage of Part B will be 75 Marks.
