The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) has released the application form for the Assistant Engineering (AE)/ SES (State Engineering Services) exam. Candidates can apply on the official website mppsc.mp.gov.in, or mppsc.nic.in, till March 01. The date of admit card release and exam date will be announced soon. The exam is conducted to recruit eligible candidates for the post of Assistant Civil Engineer, Assistant Mechanical Engineer, and Assistant Electrical Engineer in various departments in the state of Madhya Pradesh. This year, a total of 21 vacancies have been released by the commission.
MPPSC AE 2022 Notification, Apply Online
The application fee for General category candidates is Rs. 500 and for the candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC/ PwD categories, the application fee is Rs. 250. Candidates have to apply online. The correction window for the application form will be live from February 5 to March 3, 2022. The exam will be conducted in offline mode. Candidates are recruited for the posts of Assistant Engineer, through 2 phases- Written exam and Interview.
MPPSC AE Eligibility Criteria
Interested candidates must take note of the eligibility criteria listed by the Madhya Pradesh commission for this examination. These include age-based and educational-based criteria. It is required for a candidate to have attained the age of 21 and not be older than 40. Age-related relaxations have also been specified, wherein women candidates, SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates, Indian Home Guard personnel, and Vikram Award winners are allowed up to 5 years of upper age limit relaxation.
In addition to that, candidates must have completed their graduation and possess an Engineering degree either in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical engineering from a recognized university.
How to apply for MPPSC AE 2022?
Candidates can go through the below-given steps to apply for the MPPSC AE exam:
Step 1: Visit one of the official websites, mppsc.mp.gov.in or mppsc.nic.in
Step 2: Candidates can find the “Apply online” tab in the bottom right corner.
Step 3: Now, click on the “Link” option available, corresponding to the AE/ SES exam. This will take the applicants to a new page.
Step 4: Click on the “Know your application number” tab.
Step 5: Candidates can now fill out the application form.
Step 6: Candidates should upload their self-attested passport size photograph.
Step 7: Next, click on the “Proceed to Payment” button.
Step 8: Candidates will be provided with a two-page computerized application form, which can also be printed later.
MPPSC AE Exam Pattern
So far the exam pattern is concerned, candidates are required to sit for a written exam and a subsequent interview round. Candidates who pass the written test are shortlisted for the interview phase.
- Written Examination: There are 2 sections in this exam- Section A (General Studies) and Section B (Engineering subject). The total duration of the exam is 3 hours and the maximum marks is 450. There are a total of 150 questions, each carrying 3 marks. Also, there is a negative mark of 1 for wrong answers. Candidates who score equal to or more than the minimum cut-off marks will qualify.
- Interview: Qualifying candidates will be called up for the Interview, which has a weightage of 50 marks. Candidates who pass the interview, will be recruited.
