Department of Technical University, Madhya Pradesh, tweeted regarding holding the examination in the online mode for the Rajiv Gandhi Technical University. With this tweet, it is now clear that the semester exam for RGPV (Rajiv Gandhi Praodyogik VIshwavidyalya) will be now conducted in the online mode. Once this news broke, students of DAVV started appealing to the government to take a similar decision for their semester exams too.
The announcement was made through the official Twitter handle of CM of MP Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the tweet stated that instead of offline mode the RGPV examination shall be conducted now in the online mode. This is going to assure the safety of the students during a time when the country is on the verge of facing another wave of pandemics. Check out the tweet below:

However, this tweet by CM has garnered mixed reviews from the students. The reason for this is another letter is circulating on social media that says, the exam will be conducted in the online mode however students have to visit the online test centres by themselves to take up the exam. The confusion is if the students have to visit the exam centre anyhow then conducting the exam in online or offline mode, would not make a difference. Students are demanding that the examination be conducted in an online mode, where they are allowed to take up the semester examination from home itself.
The students of Rajiv Gandhi Praodyogik VIshwavidyalya (RGPV) were unhappy with the government regarding holding the exams in the offline mode amidst the covid-19 pandemic. In order to pressurise the concerned authorities, they were conducting protests in the University premises. Along with this, numerous online campaigns were also carried out on the microblogging site, Twitter. These protests were fuelled when the RGPV administration announced postponing the practical exams citing a breach of covid-19 guidelines.
Earlier in November, the university has announced that it will be conducting the semester exam for various UG/PG courses in the months of December 2021 and January 2022. However, the students were unhappy with the decision of the administration of conducting the semester exams in the offline mode.
Now with this news, it is highly anticipated that the timetable for RGPV semester exams for B.Tech Diploma, MCA, B.E, M.Tech, M.E, Polytechnic courses will be announced soon. The students are advised to keep a track of the official website of the university to get all the latest updates regarding the timetable.
