MICAT 2019 Exam Date

Mudra Institute of Communications (MICA) has announced the exam date for MICAT 2019. The complete schedule for MICAT I and MICAT II has been published online at the official website mica.ac.in. The exam for MICAT 2019 will be held on December 02, 2018.

Nobody expected that the schedule for MICAT 2019 will be announced this early, since, last year the complete schedule was out in the month of September. However, now that the exam date has been announced, the registration for MICAT 2019 will start from tomorrow onwards, i.e. August 23, 2018.

One of the key point to note is that there is a clash in the exam of MICAT I and IIFT 2019. Both these exams are being held on December 02, 2018. The authorities have not made any clarification regarding this issue. There might be a possibility that the exam date for MICAT 2019 may change, however, nothing can be said for sure.

MICA offers admission in Post Graduate Diploma in Management – Communications (PGDM-C) which is a flagship programme. The candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree (10+2+3 system) or an equivalent qualification in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) in order to apply for MICAT 2019. Those who are in the final year of their degree examination are also eligible to apply for the entrance test.

The selection process at MICA is a 3-step process. The candidates must have taken or will be appearing in CAT 2018/ XAT 2019/ GMAT 2017. The candidates will then be assessed on MICAT which consist of 03 sections – Section A consist of Psychometric Test, Section B comprises of Verbal ability, Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation, General awareness; Divergent and Convergent Thinking and lastly Section 3 has Descriptive Test.

MICAT is a Computer Based Test (CBT) which is used for selection of PGDM-C 2019-2021 batch. It will be conducted twice a year in over 48 cities across the country. Better of the two MICAT Scores will be considered for shortlisting. A student may choose to write both MICAT I & II. If a candidate has appeared for more than one exam (CAT, XAT, and GMAT) the better of the two/ best of the three exams performance will be considered.
