Ahead of the MHT CET 2022 entrance examination, Uday Samant made an important announcement yesterday, April 21, 2022. Samant is the Minister of Higher and Technical Education of Maharashtra. As per his announcement, the Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) 2022 has been postponed to August 2022, due to a clash with JEE Main and NEET 2022 entrance exams. This announcement came in the form of a tweet via Samant’s official Twitter account @samant_uday.
Earlier, the minister had announced that MHT CET 2022 will be held from June 11 to 28, 2022, for technical courses. However, given the change in JEE Main 2022 exam dates, there is an obvious clash between both exams. To avoid this clash, MHT CET 2022 has been postponed to a later date.

The announcement clearly implies that MHT CET 2022 examination will be held in the first week of August 2022. This tentative schedule will avoid any possible clash with the two main national-level entrance exams. Students therefore, don’t need to worry about juggling between two exams and invariably, affecting their performance.
JEE Main & NEET Exam Dates
Recently, the National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the JEE Main 2022 revised exam dates, after incessant protests by students. Accordingly, session 1 will be held from June 20 to 29, 2022. In the next month itself, session 2 shall be conducted from July 21 to 30, 2022.
Till yesterday, MHT CET 2022 was scheduled in the month of June 2022. This would create a clash of dates between both exams, compelling the state entrance test cell to postpone the exam.
The National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) 2022 examination is all set to be conducted on July 17, 2022. While there is no obvious clash between both exams, there is very little gap between them. Scheduling MHT CET 2022 in August 2022 provides adequate preparation time to students.
