Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell is going to conduct the MHT CET 2021 re-exam on October 9 and 10 for candidates who cannot appear for the same earlier. The MHT CET exam was scheduled from September 20 to October 1, 2021, however, a lot of candidates could not appear for the exam citing heavy rains.
In order to help the candidates to appear for the MHT CET exam, the registration window for candidates was activated on the official website from October 1 to 3, 2021. The admit card for the re-exam was also released only for those who re-registered themselves. MHT CET result 2021 for all the test takers is going to be out by October 20, 2021.
The general opinion amongst the students states that the question level of MHT CET is moderate Candidates found Physics paper to be the toughest amongst the lot whereas questions in chemistry and mathematics were doable for PCM group. The same level of examination is expected in the re-exam too, candidates can take a cue from the mock analysis released by different Youtube channels to get a complete idea of the questions asked earlier.
The MHT CET 2021 is an annual exam that is held to provide admission to candidates in Engineering, Agriculture and Pharmacy courses offered by various colleges of Maharashtra state. As per the official website, there are two groups in the MHT CET, PCM for Engineering and Technology courses and PCB for Agriculture and Pharmacy courses.
MHT CET exam pattern comprises 100 questions from three sections i.e. Mathematics as paper 1, Physics & Chemistry as paper 2 and Biology as paper 3 for a duration of 90 minutes. As per the marking scheme, each question in chemistry accounts for 2 marks whereas 1 mark is applicable for Physics, Mathematics, and Biology. The candidates who have applied for the PCM group have to appear for papers 1 and 2 only. Whereas, for MHT CET PCB group appearing in papers 2 and 3 is compulsory.
Candidates going to appear for the MHT CET re-exam have to follow certain guidelines that are going to be helpful on the exam day:
- The test takers must try to reach the exam hall at least 1 hour before the reporting time assigned to them on their MHT CET admit card.
- Carrying the admit card along with the original copy of a Id Proof (Aadhar card or pan card) is mandatory
- Gadgets like smart phone, calculator, smart watch etc are not allowed in the MHT CET exam hall
