State CET Cell, Maharashtra is going to conduct the MHT CET 2021 Phase 1 exam from September 04 to 10, 2021 as per official dates announced by the Cell. The MHT CET 2021 is an entrance exam for admission to UG programs in Engineering/Technology (BE/B.Tech), Pharmacy, Pharm D, and Agricultural courses in the state. The second phase exam is also scheduled to be held from September 14 to 20, 2021.
The MHT CET 2021 admit card is scheduled to release by the end of August 2021. However, today being the last date of August, candidates can expect the admit card to release anytime soon. The admit card releases online on the official website i.e., cetcell.mahacet.org through candidate login only and it contains important information, instructions and guidelines for the MAH CET 2021 exam. The admit card also indicates the complete details of the exam date, timing and complete details of the allocated exam centre. Candidates are required to appear in the centre along with a printed copy of the admit card.
State CET Cell has already intimated the exam schedule for the MAH CET 2021 exam. The examination will be conducted in two shifts on each exam date. In the morning shift, the exam for PCM groups will be held from 09.00 AM to 12.00 PM. In the afternoon shift, the exam for the PCB groups will be held from 02.00 PM to 05.00 PM.
Entry in the exam hall will commence from 07.30 AM in the morning shift and from 12.30 PM in the afternoon shift. The last time of entry into the exam hall is 08.45 AM in the first shift and 01.45 PM in the second shift. No candidate will be allowed to enter the exam hall after this time.
Once inside the exam hall, candidates have to first log in to read instructions at 08.50 AM in the morning shift and at 01.50 PM in the afternoon shift. Candidates are advised to follow these timings strictly and report to the designated exam centre with adequate time in hand.
The MHT CET 2021 exam is conducted as a Computer Based Test. As intimated by the State CET Cell, there is no negative marking in the MHT CET exam. However, the standard of the question paper for the PCM group will be at par with the JEE Mains exam while the question paper for the PCB group will be at par with the NEET exam.
Candidates are required to carry valid photo identification along with the printed copy of the admit card. This is for verification of the candidate’s identity. It may be noted that a learner’s driving license or ration card is not accepted as valid photo identification. Candidates are not allowed to carry electronic devices inside the exam hall. These include the following.
- Mobile phones
- Calculators
- Watch calculators
- Alarm clocks
- Digital watches
- Any smart watch with calculators
It may be noted that once inside the exam hall, candidates are not allowed to leave the exam centre before completion of the entire time period. Besides, it may also be noted that any unfair practices inside the exam hall are strictly prohibited Anyone found to be indulging in similar acts will be debarred from the examination and admission process.
