Indian Institute of Management (IIT) has started the admission process for the academic year 2019-21. The registration process has been started on January 05, 2019, on the same day of the announcement of CAT 2018 Result. IITs offer post graduation in management. Interested candidates can apply for two years MBA/ PGDM programme or Executive MBA. There are currently 23 IITs, out of which 7 IITs offer Management programme.
IITs are not only popular for the extraordinary curriculum but also the fee structure for the institutes is low as compared to other B-schools. For admission to IITs, candidates need to fill the application form entering the CAT exam details. Further, shortlisted candidates will be called for Writing Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI). Also, past academic records and work experience will also be considered.
In order to be eligible for the IITs admission, candidates must clear the eligibility criteria. All the 7 IITs release the detailed criteria on their respective websites. Candidates applying for IITs must have a valid CAT 2018 score and must have 60% aggregate or 6.5 CGPA in the graduate degree. Final year students are also eligible to apply for the institutes. Also, in some IITs, there is an exception of CAT exam for IIT graduate having CGPA 8 or above.

#1. IIT Delhi
Department of Management Studies, IIT Delhi has started the registration for MBA Admisison 2019 on their official website. Candidates must know that there is common application form for IIT Delhi, IIT Madras, and IIT (ISM) Dhanbad. The complete details have been available at the website of IIT Madras.
IIT Delhi is situated at Hauz Khas in the lush location of National Capital Territory. The institute offers two-year full-time MBA programme and MBA in telecommunication which is not there in the curriculum of IIMs. The fee structure for Delhi Campus is Rs. 8 Lacs.
#2. IIT Madras
Department of Management Studies (DoMS) of IIT Madras offers many research and postgraduate programmes in management. The registration for admission 2019 will close by January 27, 2019. The programme fee for the IIT Madras is also around 7-8 Lakhs. The institute also consider gender diversity factor while offering final admission to the students.
#3. IIT Kharagpur
Vinod Gupta School of Management (VGSoM) of IIT Kharagpur offers MBA, Management Development Programme (MDPs), and executive programmes. Interested candidates can apply for the institute after checking its cut-off. For the general category, the minimum qualifying cut off is 90 percentile. For the final admission, the institute also considers 10th, 12th, and graduation scores.
#4. IIT Roorkee
Department of Management Studies, IIT Roorkee offers admission to 95 students for 2 year MBA programme. The programme fee is Rs 2 Lakh per semester. There is 100% tuition fee waiver for SC/ ST candidates. Last year, average CTC crossed 8.94 Lakhs. The highest package was Rs 14 Laks per annum.
#5. IIT Kanpur
Department of Industrial and Management Engineering (IME) of IIT Kanpur. There are overall 78 seats for MBA which is a two year residential programme by IIT Kanpur. The fee for each semester is Rs 91,317/- for the general category. Looking at the pocket-friendly course fee, the highest package last year crossed Rs 12.64 LPA. Some of the recruiters were Deliotte, Spencers, ICICI etc.
#6. IIT Bombay
Shailesh J Mehta School of Management (SJMSOM) offers two-year flagship programme in management. For the final admission, the institute also gives weight-age to extra-curricular activities. Last year, the top-salary was offered at Rs. 29.9 lakhs.
#7. IIT Dhanbad
ISM Dhanbad institute is a full-fledged IIT according to IIT Amendment Act 2016. It now ranks at the top b-school in Jharkhand. The admission to the MBA is conducted jointly with IIT Madras and Delhi.
