MAT 2019 Result Announced

All India Management Association (AIMA) has declared the MAT 2019 Result for the May session. Candidates who have taken the exam on May 05 and 18, 2019, can now download the result at Use the registration number and roll number to access the Management Aptitude Test (MAT) result.

AIMA MAT 2019 Result has been issued in the form of scorecard mentioning the sectional and overall percentile. The scorecard is valid for 1 year only. So, candidates must use the exam result to take admission to the upcoming academic session. There are over 250 b-schools that accept Mat 2019 scores.

The scorecard consists of scaled and composite scores. First, the scores in each section are scaled to maintain fairness among all the sessions of the exam. The scores in each section generally range between 0-100 and scores above 80 & below 20 are rare. Finally, the composite scores are calculated. In this scores out of 160 are converted out of 800. The range of composite score is 199 to 801.

As per the AIMA website, candidates can utilize the MAT 2019 Scores for admission to postgraduate programmes in management, to apply for a scholarship or financial aid, or for guidance purpose. AIMA has listed the name of 279 colleges on its website that consider MAT scores. However, candidates must check the official website of the desired college before filling the admission form.

The selection process of b-school usually includes group discussion, personal interview, and written ability test. Moreover, in order to participate in the admission process of the b-school, candidates must have filled its application form. Some of the institutes accepting MAT are Christ University, NIBM Pune, ISBR Banglore, KIIT School of Management, JIMS, New Delhi, XIME, Bangalore etc.

About MAT:- MAT is a national level test for admission to management programmes. AIMA conducts the exam four times a year in the month of February, May, September, and December. Candidates can apply for any of the session according to their convenience. Moreover, MAT is one of the exams that is held in offline and online modes. The paper-based test usually conducts in two phases and computer-based test in one phase.

The registration for a session starts one to two month before the exam date. The difficulty level of MAT exam is easier to CAT, XAT, IIFT, etc. Candidates with strong concepts can easily crack the exam. The test consists of 5 sections having  40 questions each. Each question carries 1 mark with the neagtive marking of 0.25 marks for the wrong response. The scores of the general awareness section are not evaluated while calculating the final percentile.
