Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Pune has released SSC, HSC time table 2020. The class 12th or HSC examinations will be held from February 18 to March 18, 2020. Whereas the class 10th or SSC examinations shall take place from March 3 to 23, 2020.
Before this, the Maharashtra board had published a tentative time table and accepted suggestions from all involved, in October. Now after looking into all suggestions and requests, the final exam dates have been made available at mahahsscboard.in.
The board has now released three separate timetables, one each for HSC general and bifocal, HSC vocational, and SSC.
As per the time table for higher secondary certificate examination for standard 12 February-March 2020, general and bifocal courses, the exam dates are as follows. There are six exam dates in the month of February, that are February 18, 20, 22, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, and 29, 2020. Then there are thirteen dates in dates in March, namely March 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, 17, and 18, 2020. This time table is available at mahahsscboard.in by the name of “HSC Feb/Mar 2020 General/bi-focal time table”.
Then in the time table for higher secondary certificate examination for standard 12 February-March 2020, vocational courses, the exam dates are as like this. There are seven exam dates in the month of February, that are February 18, 20, 22, 24, 25, 27, and 29, 2020. Maharashtra board time table for secondary school certificate examination for standard 10 March 2020, revised course has all exam dates in the month of March. The dates are March 3, 4, 6, 7, 9, 12, 14, 16, 18, 19, 21, and 23, 2020. The name by which class 10 date sheet is available on the website is “SSC Feb/Mar 2020 time table”.
The exam dates are similar to last year.
Last year Maharashtra board, or MSBSHSE announced HSC results on May 28. 14.23 lakh students had appeared in the exam, of which, 12.21 lakh passed. The number of boys and girls respectively who took the board exams were 7,91,682 and 6,30,254. Those who passed respectively were 6,52,379 and 5,68,780. 92.6% students passed in science stream, 76.45% cleared arts, and 88.28% passed in commerce stream. The overall pass percentage stood at 85.88%, which was the lowest in three years. In the year before, it was 88.41%.
SSC result was announced on June 9. 16,18,602 fresh students had appeared in the exam, and from them, a total of 12,47,903 passed. 58,665 repeat students were also among the test takers, from which 18,958 passed. Last year, internal marks stopped being a component of final results. The pass percentage dropped to 77.1%, lowest since 2013. Konkan division had the highest pass percentage of 88.38%, whereas Nagpur had the lowest. Kolhapur got the second place with 86.58%, and Pune in the third with 82.48%. Mumbai had the largest number of test takers, and from it, 77.04% passed taking it to fifth place. Above it, stood Nashik with 77.58% pass percentage.
