Lucknow University is all set to conduct entrance exams for university admission 2021-22, owing to the cancellation of Class 12 board exams. Uttar Pradesh state government was previously, in favour of conducting the board exams but, later went back on this decision due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Hence, to avoid any confusion or concern related to Class 12 results, the university authorities have decided to follow the entrance exam path. This will also ensure a fair chance to all candidates to clear the entrance exam and seek admission to their preferred course.
University authorities had already begun the Undergraduate Programmes Admission session 2021-22 registration on March 09, 2021. Candidates who are interested in applying for the undergraduate admission process must fill the form on the official website lkouniv.ac.in on or before June 30, 2021. This timeline is applicable for both UG and UG professional programmes. However, the exam date is yet to be decided.
Previously, Lucknow university would grant admission to UG programmes based on Class 12 marks. Students had to appear for an entrance test to apply for PG programmes. Even last year, the entrance test was not conducted for UG programmes. Hence, 2021 is the first year wherein an entrance test is being organised to avoid any tussles regarding the Class 12 results.
Candidates who are yet to apply for the entrance test still have 5 days to complete the registration formalities on the official website lkouniv.ac.in. The registration process comprises seven important steps which the candidate must follow. They are as follows:
