Lovely Professional University signs six MoUs with top Universities of America, Canada, Germany, Italy, and Romania. The aim is the internationalization of education at its campus and also upholding the National Education Policy (NEP)-2020. Via signing these 6 MoUs, LPU strives to bring a maximum of global opportunities for its students.
The Universities with whom LPU has signed the MoUs are the University of Idaho (UI), USA; Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT), Canada; South Dakota School of Mines & Technology (SDSMT), USA; IU University of Applied Sciences, Germany; University of Macerata (UNIMC), Italy; and, University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest, Romania.
These MoUs are to follow student and staff exchange programs; joint research activities and publications; continuing education and professional development; participation in seminars / conferences; and more.
UI (USA) is a leading research institution in the US. SAIT is Canada’s first publicly funded technical institute having students from 97+countries, established in 1916. Founded in 1885, SDSMT is ranked no. 5 among top US institutions with a high return on investment, in form of employability of students with high packages. IU University of Applied Sciences has an overall score of 3.9/5 stars, according to student reviews in the country. UNIMC is one of the oldest universities in Europe. University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest (USAMV) is the oldest and largest institution of higher agronomic education in Romania.
India’s Education Minister Dr Ramesh Pokhriyal had also shared that “internationalization is a very important element in the growth and development of a university, and its contribution to the country. I see LPU as one of the foremost universities which have embraced internationalization in letter and spirit. It has been doing so much work in the internationalization of education.”
