Anna University is going to conduct the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) 2021 on March 20 and 21, 2021. The last date to register for the entrance exam has been extended to February 16, 2021. Date to check the final status of the application form is also extended to February 23. Through this examination, candidates can seek admission to various postgraduate courses in the fields of Engineering, Arts and Science. This examination grants qualified candidates’ admission to various government-aided and self-financed colleges within the state.
TANCET 2021 registration process commenced from January 19, 2021, at 10:00 am. Interested and eligible candidates are instructed to fill the application form only through the online mode on the official website i.e., tancet.annauniv.edu. The last date to submit the application form and pay the exam fee has changed from February 12 to February 16, 2021. Authorities have provided candidates the facility of checking the final status of their application by February 23, 2021.
The MBA and MCA TANCET 2021 exams are scheduled on March 20, 2021. MCA exam shall be conducted from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm whereas the MBA entrance exam shall be conducted from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm. TANCET 2021 for ME, M.Tech, M.Plan and M.Arch are scheduled on March 21, 2021, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Hall ticket for the examination is scheduled to be released on the official website on March 5, 2021.
TANCET 2021 question paper for MBA and MCA comprises of a total of 100 questions each. The paper contains all multiple-choice questions (MCQs) with four options each. Each question carries 1 mark whereas 1/3 marks shall be deducted for every wrong answer. Candidates must note that multiple shading shall be considered as the wrong answer. Hence, 1/3 marks shall be deducted in case of two options shaded.
The state-level entrance exam for ME, M.Tech, M.Arch and M.Plan comprises of three sections or parts. Part I consists of 20 MCQs with 4 options in each question. Each correct answer shall be allotted one mark whereas 1/3 marks shall be deducted for every wrong answer. Part II comprises of 35 MCQs whereas part III contains 60 MCQs in total. Both sections have a marking scheme similar to Part I. Again, multiple shading shall be deemed as wrong answer and marks will be deducted accordingly. Candidates must note that marks shall not be deducted for questions which shall be left unanswered.
TANCET is a state-level entrance exam conducted every year in Tamil Nadu for the purpose of granting admission to students who wish to pursue postgraduate courses in certain fields.
