The official announcement for the postponement of the admission list was made on kvsonlineadmission.kvs.gov.in.
The notification on the website reads:
“देश में COVID-19 मामलों में अभूतपूर्व वृद्धि को देखते हुए 23 अप्रैल, 2021 को कक्षा -I में प्रवेश के लिए होने वाली लाटरी स्थगित कर दी गई है। लाटरी की नयी तारीख की सूचना के लिए कृपया वेबसाइट पर चेक करते रहें ।”
“The date of draw of lots for Admission in Std 1 scheduled on 23rd April 2021 has been postponed due to unprecedented rise in COVID-19 cases in the country. Please watch this space for the revised dates of the draw of lots for Std 1 admissions.“
Based on the vacancies left after the first list, the second and third merit lists would have been released on April 30 and May 5, 2021, respectively. However, delay in first list means, delay in the 2nd and the 3rd ones too.
While waiting for the admission list for admission, the applicants can check application status at kvsonlineadmission.kvs.gov.in. The application status link is available in the upper right-hand side corner. The applicants can click on the link “Check Application Status” and enter the details asked on the screen. The details are Login Code, date of birth of the student, mobile number (used at the time of registration), and the captcha code that appears on the screen. Once that is done, the application status is displayed on the screen.
Also one can see the following message displayed on the screen:
” This is simply an intimation about your position in various post-lottery lists and is not a confirmation or assurance of admission to any school. The admission status of applicants will be decided by individual schools as per KVS admission guidelines after verification of documents and after other procedures as decided by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan. please contact individual schools for more details about final admission status”
This means that the application status shown is just to let the applicants know about the status of their application, whether it has been accepted or not. It is not at all related to the acceptance of admission. The acceptance of admission is dependent on the individual schools that the student has applied for while filling the application form (3 maximum). The final admission status is based on the verification of the documents and guidelines set by the KVS. To know the details, the applicants must contact the individual KV.
The applicants can further check the lottery number in all the 3 KVs that they have applied for.
For the latest updates on KV class 1 admission, applicants will have to follow the official website only which is kvsonlineadmission.kvs.gov.in. It is the only portal for admission to Std 1 in Kendriya Vidyalayas all over India for the academic year 2021-2022.
