Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) has concluded the KIIT Entrance Examination (KIITEE) 2021 Phase 1 today, May 27, 2021. The first phase began on Tuesday, May 25, 2021, and results for the same are awaited. While the entire calendar of events has been published on the official website kiitee.kiit.ac.in, authorities are yet to announce the date for declaring the results. However, according to the 2021 information brochure uploaded on the website, results shall be declared tomorrow, May 28, 2021, though no such date is yet mentioned in the event calendar present on the official website. Candidates who appeared for the exam can check their results on the official website once they are announced.
KIIT authorities shall provide the marks and ranks obtained by candidates in the entrance examination. Usually, institutes mention the cut-off marks which the candidate has to score to be deemed qualified for the admission process. However, for KIITEE 2021 Phase 1 exam, the cut-off rank matters.
Depending on the seats available for each course, KIIT releases the cut-off ranks for the counselling session. These ranks are announced at the time of declaring the results. Candidates who achieve a rank more than the cut-off rank shall be called for the counselling session. In case two or more applicants acquire the same rank, merit between them shall be determined based on certain criteria. These criteria differ depending on the undergraduate course.
For B.Tech applicants, ranks are assigned based on marks obtained in Mathematics followed by Physics and then by age. The older candidates get a higher rank in case two of them have acquired the same rank. In the case of the B.Arch course, ranks are assigned based on marks obtained in NATA or JEE Main (Paper-II B).
Once the results are out, authorities shall be creating separate merit lists for each undergraduate course offered. The cut-off marks for each course shall also be decided by the University. These marks shall be published on the official portal around the same time as the result declaration.
To check their results, candidates must click on the KIITEE 2021 Phase 1 result link present on the homepage of the website. Thereafter, they must enter their application number to access their score card. Subsequently, rank card mentioning the rank obtained by candidates shall be sent to the qualified candidates. Candidates may also choose to download their rank card from the official website.
