Kerala Public Service Commission (PSC) has published an additional programme for the month of February 2020, for submitting confirmation. As per it, the Kerala Administrative Service (KAS) officer junior time scale recruitment exam, for category number 186/2019, 187/2019, 188/2019 has been scheduled for February 22, 2020.
Candidates who have applied, need to first submit their confirmation through the KPSC Thulasi portal. Confirmation requests are being accepted from December 6 to 25, 2019. Those who confirm, for them, the commission will issue hall tickets on February 7, 2020.
This is the first time that Kerala Administrative Services exam are being organized. Its notification was released last month, and applications were accepted online through Thulasi OTR profile from November 1 to December 4, 2019.
On the scheduled date, that is the fourth Saturday in the month of February 2020, KAS stream I, II, III preliminary exam will be held. This includes part I general studies paper I, part II general studies paper II and language proficiency.
Whether the test will be OMR based or online will be disclosed when the February 2020 exam schedule after confirmation is released.
KAS 2019 Kerala notification, and latest updates are published at the official website of the commission that is keralapsc.gov.in. However for all actionable events, like to submit confirmation now, or to download hall ticket later, candidates need to visit Thulasi portal that is thulasi.psc.kerala.gov.in. Here, right now, candidates can login with their user ID and password, and if they had applied for administrative services, they can submit their confirmation.
PSC Kerala has made it clear that if a candidate does not submit confirmation, then even if he or she had applied, that candidate will neither be issued admit card, nor be allowed to sit for the exam.
Other important aspects of the exam revealed through the exam date notification are that first of all, “It may be noted that apart from the Main Topics in the Syllabus referred to in the Examination Programme, questions from other topics related to the educational qualifications prescribed for the post may also appear in the question paper. There is no undertaking that all the topics mentioned under the sub head “Main Topics” may be covered in the question paper. ”
And secondly the documents required for day of exam have been specified. Candidates need to carry the hall ticket, and any one photo identity proof listed in the notification.
The commission also informs that after the KAS exam, provisional answer key will be published on the official website, and against them, candidates will be allowed to submit complaints through the Thulasi profile within 5 days of publication of the answer key.
KAS 2019 Kerala is for Kerala Administrative Service, recruitment of KAS officer (junior time scale) trainee. The upcoming preliminary exam will be of 200 marks, with all multiple choice questions. Paper I will be on general studies of 100 marks. Paper II will have part I general studies of 50 marks; part II will have language proficiency of Malayalam / Tamil / Kannada for 30 marks, and language proficiency in English test of 20 marks. Both paper I as well as II will be of 90 minutes each.
