The officials of Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) has released the answer key along with a link to submit objections against the answer key for Special Branch Constable exam (SBCCE 2018) which. Candidates have to submit the objections before September 19, 2019, by 5 pm at jss.nic.in. The exam was held on September 1.
To download the answer key, candidates have to open the website, jssc.nic.in. After landing on the home page, scroll down to the answer key section and select Model answer key. Then, click on the “Tentative Answer Key and Objection Link of SBCCE-2018”. Submit your roll number and date of birth to download the answer key. Candidates are advised to take a print out of it to evaluate their performance in the exam.
The answer keys are available in question booklet series A, B, C and D. In each answer key, the correct answers for all 175 questions asked in the exam are available. Candidates can click on any booklet and check the answer keys.
The written examination carried a total of 350 marks with 175 MCQs from Hindi, English, General knowledge, General Science and Quantitative Aptitude. The total number of questions for each subjects were 50, 25, 50, 25, 25. For each correct answer, 2 marks will be awarded and 0.66 marks will be deducted for incorrect answer from the total score.
Those who qualify the written test, will have be eligible for phase II, i.e Physical Efficiency Test, in which male candidates have to undergo a 1 km run in 7 minutes, 4 feet high jump, 12 feet long jump, 15 feet shot put (16 pounds). The female candidates will have to only attend 1 km run and shot put of 16 pounds. Candidates will not be awarded any marks for it but it is compulsory for the candidates to qualify all the physical conditions.
Candidates who qualifies both the phases, will have to undergo medical test. Candidates should not have knock knees, flat feet, stammering, night blindness, physical / mental disease, any communicable disease, varicocele / hydrocele / piles.
After the final answer key, JSSC will prepare a merit list of candidates qualified in all the phases. Additional marks will be given depending upon the score of the candidate in their diploma or degree. An additional of 10 marks will be given to distinction holders, 08 marks will be given to first class holder, 06 for second class and 04 to the candidates who have passed.
The total number of vacancies for SBCCE 2018 were 1012, out of which, 506 is for general categories, 263 for ST, 101 for SC and 142 for OBC. On appointment for the post of special branch constable, candidates will be offered in a pay scale of pay band I, i.e Rs 5200-20200 with a grade pay of 2000.
The Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) was constituted by JSSC Act 2008. Initially the office of JSSC was located at Dhurwa, Ranchi, but not it got shifted to Kalinagar, Chaay Bagan, Namkum, Ranchi, Jharkhand. It is responsible for recommending suitable candidates at group B and C service posts.
