Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) has released the answer key of Excise Constable recruitment exam, today, at jssc.nic.in. To download the same, one has to click “tentative answer key and objection link of JECCE-2018” under what’s new section of the official website. Then click details. And then the submit feedback button. Finally at the login, roll number and date of birth need to be entered to download the answer key. Last date to download answer key and submit objections to it is August 21.
A link to retrieve roll number is also provided at login for anyone who has lost it. It is required to enter name of candidate, name of his/her father, date of birth, and category in order to get the roll number.
JSSC has also published a notification detailing issuance of the Excise Constable answer key for the exam that was held on August 4. As per it, the provisional answer key of written exam has been released for all sets of question papers namely A, B, C, and D. It further states that government job aspirants who had appeared for the exam can submit objections by following instructions that appear on the screen once they have logged in. Further that the facility to view answer key as well as object it shall close on 5 pm on the last date. Relevant proof in support of objection can also be uploaded in the same duration.
On the basis of final answer key, result shall be announced. For every correct answer, candidates will get 3 marks, and 1 mark will be deduced for every incorrect answer.
The written exam comprised of three papers. Paper 1 was language knowledge, with 80 questions on Hindi language and 40 on English. Paper 2 was on local language knowledge with 100 questions. Then paper 3 had 40 questions on general knowledge, 50 on Jharkhand related knowledge, 20 from general science, and 10 on mathematics. Each paper was of 2 hours each.
Paper 1 is only qualifying in nature. Candidates need to get 30% marks to qualify it. Merit list will be formed on the basis of paper 2 and paper 3 scores. Candidates qualified as per result of written exam of JSSC excise constable recruitment, shall have to then appear in physical standards test and medical exam.
The JSSC Excise Constable recruitment is for 518 vacancies. It was advertised in December last year. Initially the last date to apply online was February 9, and was later extended to June 21. Thereafter admit card was released on July 15. Thereafter exam was held on the first Sunday of this month. Now the answer key has been released ten days after the exam, and shall remain available for a week.
Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission was established in the year 2008. The commission looks after recruitment to the group C and non gazetted, technical, non technical service or cadres of the state government in group B.
