Jammu Kashmir Service Selection Board (JKSSB) has released a recruitment notification for the post of District/Divisional/Union Territory Cadre posts of Class-IV in various Department. With the Advt. No. 01/2020, the official notification is available on the JKSSB website, jkssb.nic.in. The Board has announced a total of 8575 vacancies for the aforementioned posts. Domicile candidates of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir are eligible to send their representations for the announced posts. The online submission of the application form commences from July 10, 2020, onwards. Eligible candidates can send their representations for the posts up to August 25, 2020, till midnight.
Candidates who are 10th class to 10+2 class pass are eligible for the Class IV posts under the Direct Recruitment. The minimum educational qualification must be acquired by the candidates on or before August 25, 2020. In case, candidates have an equivalent educational qualification, they have to produce the relevant equivalent certificate at the time of document verification. The age of eligible candidates is calculated as on January 01, 2020. Candidates who belong to OM and Government Service/Contractual employment should not exceed the upper age limit of 40 years. The upper age limit for Ex-servicemen candidates is 48 years, 42 years for the Physically challenged person, and 43 years for others. The age relaxations are provided as per the rules mentioned in the official notification.
The application procedure is conducted through the JKSSB’s online application portal ssbjk.org. Those who are not registered with the portal have to visit the mentioned website and click on ‘Candidate Registration’. Candidate Login credentials are generated after the successful registration. Use these credentials to login and submit the application form. Candidates have to pay Rs.350/- as application fee through online mode. They can pay the requisite fees through NET banking, Visa, MasterCard, RuPay Credit or Debit Card.
Selection of candidates is concluded through the merit-cum-preference method. Those candidates who clear written examination of the selection procedure are shortlisted as per the preference of their cadre. The written examination is conducted with Objective type questions where candidates have to make their answer in the OMR sheet. Aspirants must note that 0.25 marks are deducted for every incorrect answer. The tentative answer key releases on the JKSSB’s website. After the written exam, Document verification round is conducted in which aspirants are required to carry their original documents.
