JIPMER had released a notification for recruitment to Nursing officer and other group B and C posts three days ago for its Puducherry campus, and now the institute has published recruitment notification for similar posts in its Karaikal campus.
JIPMER nursing officer recruitment 2020 vide advertisement number JIPAdmn-I/KKL/DR/1(1)/2019 notifies that there are 154 group B vacancies and 8 group C vacancies. In group B, are 150 vacancies of nursing officer, 2 medical social worker, 1 junior engineer civil, and 1 junior engineer electrical. And in group C, there are 8 stenographer grade 2 vacancies.
Category wise there are overall 65 UR vacancies, 16 EWS, 44 OBC, 24 SC, and 13 ST.
For these positions, applications will be accepted online from December 23, 2019 to January 27, 2020 till 4.30 pm. Nursing officer aspirants may note that at present, applications against the previously released notification of vacancies in Puducherry are being accepted.
To be a nursing officer in JIPMER, one has to have either a degree or diploma in general nursing and midwifery or equivalent. Plus, should be registered as a nurse and midwife under the Indian Nursing council act 1947. This position of nursing officer is eligible for pay of Rs 44,900 in level 7 pf the pay matrix.
Medical social worker position requires candidate to have masters degree in social work with specialization in medical social work from a recognized institution, and a 2 years experience in social work. Pay in this post is Rs 35,400 in level 6 of the pay matrix.
Junior engineer civil position is open for candidates with civil engineering graduation and 2 years work ex in design and engineering. However those with a 3 years diploma in civil engineering and 3 years experience in design and engineering of civil projects can also apply.
Likewise for the position of junior engineer electrical, candidates should have graduation in electrical engineering and 2 years experience in planning, execution and maintenance of electrical installations. Also, those with 3 years diploma in electrical engineering and 3 years experience in planning, execution and maintenance of electrical installations can also apply.
For both the JE positions, pay is Rs 35,400 in level 6 of the pay matrix.
Class 12th pass candidates with relevant skill test norms, where skill test will require to go through 10 minutes dictation at 80 wpm, and transcription of 50 mts english on computer can apply for the stenographer grade 2 post.
Stenographer post is eligible for Rs 25,500 pay in level 4 of the pay matrix.
The upper age limit for nursing officer is 35, for medical social worker it is 35, for JE civil it is 30, for JE electrical it is 30, and for stenographer grade 2 it is 27.
Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research is thus hiring against 107 vacancies of group B and C posts in Puducherry campus, and 162 vacancies of the same in Karaikal campus. In these, the nursing officer vacancies are respectively 85, and 150 respectively, amounting to the majority of the vacancies in this recruitment.
