A recent news report stating that conduct of JEE Main 2021 January exam is dubious, has sent students in a tizzy.

The latest social media trends and search trends on JEE Main 2021 indicate that students are trying to understand exactly what dubious means (it means not sure or certain). And they want to know for certain whether NTA will conduct the Joint Entrance Examination Mains in January or not.

So is it true that JEE Main 2021 may not be conducted in January? Here is the full analysis.

There was recently a news report that said that JEE Mains 2021 conduct seems to be dubious. As per the report, the Dean of a junior college in Telangana has said that he thinks that JEE Main will be conducted only once this time.

It is important to note that this statement is not from NTA or any official related to the conduct of JEE Mains. It is an observation of an academician.

Till now the official facts are as follows.

NTA has not released any official statement on the conduct of JEE Main 2021. Last year the schedule was released in August. Registrations for the January exam started in September. In fact registrations were closed before mid-October.

Whereas a slight delay was anyhow expected due to the pandemic having disrupted the JEE Main April 2020 schedule (the exam was held in September). Students have now grown concerned with no word at all from NTA on the exam.

Good news for JEE Main 2021 students – Here is why exam may not be delayed too long!

NTA conducts several entrance exams in India. One of them is the IIFT MBA entrance exam.

Last year NTA had released the IIFT form in September, and kept it available till November. This year, there was a delay. Just like engineering aspirants are worried about JEE Main, initially MBA aspirants were concerned about IIFT exam. Now finally NTA has announced IIFT 2021 date, and started registration.

Here is a comparison of IIFT last year and this year’s dates, to predict JEE Main date delay.

Last year >> IIFT registration started on 09 September. Last date to apply was 03 November. Exam date was 01 December.

This year >> IIFT registration started on 06 November. Last date to apply is 20 December. Exam date is 24 January.

This is a good indication. NTA is therefore looked forward to announce JEE Main 2021 date soon, and start registration as well, through jeemain.nta.nic.in. The final decision on conduct of JEE Mains is on the official bodies related to the exam only.
