JEE Main 2019 From 7 April; Here Are 9 Important Instructions For Exam Day

JEE Main 2019 Important Instructions

National Testing Agency (NTA) is all set to conduct JEE Main 2019 on April 07, 08, 09, 10, and 12, 2019. As the exam is approaching near, candidates must keep calm and give their best on the exam day. The rigorous last months’ preparation will definitely bring fruitful results. Also, for the test day, remember to follow all the exam rules.

One of the important rules is to carry the JEE Main 2019 Admit Card. Along with that, go through the important instructions provided by NTA. Carrying all the required documents and to follow the exam code-of-conduct is utmost to have the hassle-free process. So, be acquainted with the test rules to avoid any strict actions by the exam conducting body.

#1. Important Documents to Carry

JEE aspirants must have four documents on their exam day. Make sure to keep all of them ready atleast two days before the examination. These are JEE Main Admit Card, 1 Photograph, original ID proof, and PwD certificate (if applicable). For paper-2, students have to bring their own geometry box, pencil, eraser color pencil or crayon. The rough sheets and pen/pencil will be provided to solve questions in the paper.

#2. Print Format of JEE Main Admit Card

As JEE Main 2019 Admit Card is one of the important documents to carry. Candidates must take the print out in A-4 size sheet only. Also, it is preferable to have the colored print-out of the hall ticket. It helps to check the photograph and signature clearly.

#3. Photograph Format

Along with the admit card, candidates must carry a passport size photograph with them. Importantly, the picture must be the same as uploaded in the registration form. Do not carry any other photograph other than the uploaded in the form. It has to be pasted on the attendance sheet in the presence of invigilator.

#4. Reporting Timings

This year, NTA has not released exam date and shift before the admit card release. So, candidates must check all these details on hall ticket carefully. For the morning shift (09:30 AM – 12:30 AM), reach the allotted centre at 07:30 AM. There is no entry after 08:30 AM. The gates will close at 9 AM sharp.

For the second shift, reach the test centre at 12:30 PM. Candidates can enter the test hall until 01:30 PM. Similarly, the gates will be shut at 2:00 PM. The exam will conduct between 02:30 PM to 05:30 PM. This year, NTA has provided the facility to locate the exam centre as well.

#5. Valid ID Proofs

The valid Identity Proofs are only driving license/ PAN/ passport/ voter ID/ Aadhaar card with photograph/ E-Aadhaar/ Aadhaar enrollment number with photograph/ ration card. Candidates must not carry the photocopy of the id proof. Thus, take only valid and authentic proof on the exam day.

#6. Debarred Items

Candidates must not carry any electronic item, eatables, study material inside the exam hall. In the presence of these articles, students have to leave them outside the exam hall at their own risk. Diabetic students can carry limited food items.

#7. Attendance Rules

On the exam day, students have to complete the attendance process. In it, put the signature and photograph in the space provided. Also, make sure that the left thumb impression is clear. Do not put unnatural marks on the hands on the day of the exam. Also, show JEE Main hall ticket whenever required.

#8. During the Examintion

Test takers must sit at their computer system only. Once instructed by invigilator, login and read the rules written. In case of any confusion, reach the test administrator only. No candidates are allowed to leave the exam hall before the 3 hours.

#9. After the Examintion

Once the exam is over, submit the rough sheets and pen to the invigilator. Also, do not discard the admit card after the exam, keep it safe until the completion of the admission process. The result for JEE Main shall release by May 15, 2019.
