Why Is JEE Main 2019 Being Held Twice But Not NEET 2019; Aspirants Not Satisfied With NTA’s Decision

Since the breakout of the final NEET 2019 schedule, it is now official that NEET 2019 will be conducted once a year and in pen and paper mode only. On August 23, 2018, the official website of National Testing Agency (NTA) hosted the press release of NTA held 5 exams – JEE Main 2019, NEET 2019, UGC NET 2019, CMAT and GPAT, which says that NEET will not be conducted twice a year and neither it will be conducted in the Computer-based mode.

This has thrown the NEET 2019 aspirants in quite a dissatisfied zone. They are are demanding reasons on why NEET like JEE Main 2019 is not being conducted twice a year.

Earlier, Ministry of Health has given reasons to MHRD and requested to rill back the decision of NEET 2019 in online mode and twice a year stating several valid reasons. The reasons being, first, if NEET 2019 is held in online mode than the rural candidates will be at a disadvantage. Second, they said twice a year schedule of the exam will add a lot of pressure on NEET 2019 aspirants. Many will appear for their class 12th boards and many will also opt for the JEE Main 2019 exam. This will mean a continuous 4 months of examinations.

However valid the above reasons are, candidates feel this is an unfair move, as this reasons hold true for the JEE main 2019 aspirants too, but JEE Main 2019 is being conducted twice a year. NEET 2019 aspirants feel this to be unfair stating that the situations and reasons stated for NEET 2019 not being held twice a year are valid for JEE Main 2019 aspirants too.

In our earlier reports, many aspirants have commented voicing their dissatisfaction on this move bt the NTA.

The above are few of the many comments that we have received. The decision of conducting NEET 2019 once a year and JEE Main 2019 twice a year is yet not clear. However, candidates are clearly not happy with this move of NTA.

The government surely have some reasons to differentiate NEET 2019 conduct from other 4 exams that NTA will be conducting from 2019 onwards. NEET being the only medical entrance exam has always been surrounded with controversies and has remained the center attraction. Thus, to conduct NEET 2019 with such big changes requires more thought. This might be one of the reasons to conduct NEET as it was being conducted with no changes.

NEET 2019 will now be conducted on May 05, 2019 and the registrations for the same will start from November 01, 2018. JEE Main 2019, on the other hand, will be conducted first on January 06-20, 2019 and then on April 06-20, 2019 in 8 sittings. The registrations of JEE Main 1 2019 exam will start from September 01, 2018 and the JEE Main 2 2019 registrations are scheduled on February 08, 2019.

Do let us know what are your opinions on NEET not being conducted twice a year like JEE Main in 2019. Comment below!

When JEE exam is scheduled to be conductor Twice, why NEET will be conductor Once. The logic of Ministry of Health is ab sirf. If a student can crack NEET and persue MBBS studies, how it can be persumed that he can not appear ONLINE.
NEET need to be conductor twice as proposed and in line with JEE.

This is not a right that rural students of Neet will face problem on line exam on computer. There are many rural students for jee exam. They will not face the problem in jee exam on line? I’m not agree with the reason given by NTA There is same problem for rural students in on line exam on computer in jee and Neet. Then why jee exam will be held twice. Will rural students not face the problem on line exam?

NTA has to be reconsider the decision about NEET exam. Its purely depends upon on students desire. If students comfortable to write the exam twice a year then its ok to conduct twice.

    “LOOK BEFORE YOU LEAP,HRD MINISTRY-_-”
    ——————————-
I am SOLELY against the move of NOT conducting NEET UG twice a year and too not in Cbt mode (Although the earlier decision regarding JEE Mains is RIDICULOUSLY Retained!!).

Earlier HRD Ministry has officialy announced about the latest changes in NEET 2019.It is undoubtedly true that Preparation strategy of a majority(or even all) of students and major changes in technique of coaching was made on the basis of the announcement.

Personally ,i opted for online coaching instead of classroom course after i heard about neet being conducted in cbt mode and NOT IN PEN PAPER MODE(if it was held in so,classroom course and offline test series is a mandatory),as was put forward by the Ministry at a press relase.

It is NOT at all ACCEPTABLE that the Government announces officialy a major decision (which directy affects 1M students) and then suddenly dropping it after finding some loopholes regarding previous decision(I Ask,why the cons of helding the exam online was not thought of prior MAKING THE DECISION AND OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCING IT). Many students would have then been able to prepare correctly.

I personally ,being a NEET Fresher,is left out amidst a chaos now.
Now neither can i opt for classroom course in any coaching centre(as all courses heve already commenced) nor is any online coaching so useful to me keeping in mind the new announcement(the exam will be held In PEN AND PAPER MODE ONLY)!

    This Government is acting IRRESPONSIBLY.
The Govt should understand that a single decision affects each students career and should not be messed up!
    GROW UP, INDIAN GOVERNMENT-_-

Please make necessary corrections In the decision….its an open partiality to neet aspirants.

    Please HELP US!!

My daughter has surrendered her MBBS admission with hope to get better collage by reappearing for NEET after Mr. Jawadekar announced that NEET will be held twice this year.

Being a responsible person , Mr. Jawadwkar should have done proper study before announcement.

Many student might have taken their decision on mr. Jawadekar announcement and now must have repending.

Why there is always discrimination in our country for our future. neet should be held twice a year if not then jee should also be cancelled

This is just the insecurities and failure of this govt. Which it is hiding behind some baseless excuses…my strong appeal to all the students… We must get together and go thorough the legal procedures…. Because I have a great faith in our jurisdictions..
