JEE Main 2019 Attempts

National Testing Agency (NTA) has released detailed notification for JEE Main 2019. With it, the confusion regarding the number of attempts has also been cleared. Since NTA has announced that JEE Main 2019 will be held twice in January and April, candidates all over India were concern about the number of attempts they get to crack the examination.

Aspirants, who have already appeared for JEE once or twice were especially concerned about the attempts. Such is because earlier a candidates could only appear for JEE Main 3 times and that too consecutively. However, this year, there is no such criteria. As per the recently released information brochure, anybody who has appeared for class 12th boards exam in 2017 or 2018 is eligible for JEE Main 2019. Even candidates who will be appearing for boards exam in 2019 are also among the eligible candidates.

Hence, irrespective of the number of JEE Main attempts candidates have taken, they can apply for the upcoming JEE Main 2019 if they satisfy the eligibility criteria. Candidates who did their class 12th in 2016 or will be enroll for Boards 2020 are not eligible.

NTA has also removed the age limit from the exam. Earlier, only those candidates could apply who were born or after the prescribed duration. However, now the candidates of all the age groups can apply.

The only eligibility criteria candidates need to satisfy is that they must have had 5 subjects in the class 12th examination. Still, candidates from commerce stream cannot apply for JEE Main 2019 Paper 1, which is for B.Tech / B.E admission, because NITs, IIITs, GFTIs will only grant to those JEE Main 2019 qualifying candidates who had Mathematics and Physics as the core subject in class 12th. Other than this, the candidates should also have Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Technical Vocational subject.

The criteria for B.Arch and B.Plan admission in colleges is that candidates should have qualified JEE Main and must have passed class 12th with Mathematics as the core subject. Since JEE Main is only begin conducted online this year, JEE Main 2019 Paper II Maths and Aptitude sections will be online but candidates will give the drawing test on a sheet of paper.

Candidates who fulfill JEE Main 2019 eligibility criteria can apply for the exam. The registration for JEE Main 2019 is only open until September 30, 2018. Candidates can register from jeemain.nic.in. In the application form, candidates need to submit details about themselves, education qualification, contact, center, etc.

JEE Main 2019 will be held from January 06 to 20, 2019. It will be held in two shift. It will be from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. JEE Main 2019 will also be held in April, from 06 to 20 April 2019. The details about it will release in February but the eligibility is expected to remain the same.

We hope this news was helpful and must have cleared all doubts about JEE Main 2019 Attempts. If you still have any questions or queries regarding JEE Main 2019 eligibility criteria or anything else, just let us know, comment below.
