National Testing Agency (NTA) is starting the application form correction today, Match 11, 2019. The login for the form correction is going to be live at jeemain.nic.in anytime soon. Using this one time opportunity, the candidates can make all the changes in the application form except for the exam centre choices.
NTA has already opened the login for making corrections in the scanned images uploaded on March 07, 2019. The image correction login is still open. The candidates who have made any mistake in the scanned images that they have uploaded can do so by logging in.
The application form correction window is going to remain open until March 15, 2019. Is to be noted that an extra charge for correcting certain details in the application form is charged. For example for changing the gender, the paper choices, category an extra fee is charged.
To make corrections in the application form the canddates have to logon using their application number and password. Thereafter in the dashboard, the option to edit/correct errors in the application form is made available.
Who can make corrections in the application form?
One important thing to note here that, the application form correction is open only for the candidates who are applying for the first time in JEE Main 2019. However, the candidates who have applied for the January exam too can claim one edit in their application form i.e. the EWS Quota claim. The candidates who wish to claim the EWS Quota in JEE Main 2019 can do so in the application form correction period from March 11-15, 2019.
How To Do The Form Correction?
The candidates just have to log in as soon as the as the form correction login is active. Thereafter they need to check their dashboard for the application form correction option. As soon as they spot the link, clicking on the link open the form. The fields that can be edited are available for correction or edits.
On completing the edits, the candidates have to save the news changes and pay the additional charges wherever applicable using the online mode of payment only. The candidates have to complete all the changes during the window is open. Note that, once the corrections are submitted, no other form correction opportunity is going to be made available.
What After the form correction is over?
After the form correction is done, NTA is going to allot the exam centre, date and shift to all the registered candidates for the JEE Main 2019 April Exam. First, NTA will allot the exam centre at nta.ac.in. Thereafter, a few days later it also displays the allotted exam date and shifts for all the registered candidates at nta.ac.in.
The details if the exam date, shift and centre allotment are made available via a separate notice at jeemain.nic.in and nta.ac.in. The admit card will have the allotted exam date, shift and centre details. the JEE Main 2019 April Admit Card is going to be available fro March 20, 2019.
