National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted JEE Main 2021 shift 2 today successfully. In this shift as per the reaction of the students, Physics was the most difficult section, Chemistry was the easiest and maths was moderate. The overall difficulty level of the paper was moderate to difficult.
The topics that were asked in Physics were from modern physics, semiconductors, friction, etc. In maths questions came from mathematical reasoning, AGP series, common tangents, etc. In chemistry many questions were asked from aromaticity, acid, base and polymers.
In the paper, candidates were asked 30 questions from each section – Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. However, the candidates have to do any 25 questions from each section. There were 20 MCQs and 10 numerical questions in each section. Out of the 10 numerical questions, candidates had to do any 5. The numerical questions had no negative marking by the MCQs has a marking scheme of +4 for the correct attempt and -1 for the wrong answer. The total marks in the exam are 300 for a total of 75 questions.
After the first day of the B.E / B.Tech paper held yesterday, most of the students said they were happy with the internal choices and the choice of regional languages provided this year. National Testing Agency is conducting JEE Main 2021 Exam in 13 different languages. Under the National Education Polity (NEP), the exam will take place in Assamese, Bengali, Odia, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu along with Hindi, and English. Many students said that the paper was easy.
For the March attempt, 5,04,540 registrations were received. For the April attempt 4,98,910 students have applied and for the May attempt, 5,09,972 registration have been received. As per the reports 21.75 lakh registrations have been made by JEE (Main) aspirants to take the test in 4 attempts.
The rest of the 2 attempts are on April 27-30, 2021, and May 24-28, 2021. A candidate can choose to appear for anyone, any 2, any 3, or all 4 attempts of the exam. Candidates taking multiple attempts must note that their best score out of all the attempts will be used for the preparation of the final AIR and result. The final result will be declared with the result of the May attempt, which is the final attempt.

JEE (Main) is also an eligibility test for JEE (Advanced), which is conducted for admission to undergraduate programs offered by the Indian Institute of Technology (IITs).
