Just days after the postponement of JEE Main 2022, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has rescheduled the JEE Advanced 2022 examination. The rescheduled dates have been updated today, April 14, 2022, on the official website jeeadv.ac.in. Accordingly, the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2022 exam is scheduled to August 28, 2022, encountering a 56-day postponement. Previously, the test was set to be held on Sunday, July 03, 2022.
The postponement news does not come as a surprise. In fact, most candidates expected this news to come out soon enough, given the revised dates for JEE Main 2022. It is important to note that the registration schedule has also been revised and updated in the information brochure.
JEE Advanced 2022 – Revised Schedule
Initially, the JEE Advanced 2022 examination was going to be be conducted on July 03, 2022. This was in tandem with the April-May 2022 sessions of JEE Main 2022. However, after incessant demands and online protests by students, NTA decided on shifting the Engineering entrance test to June-July 2022 period.
To appear for the Advanced stage, candidates need to qualify the Main examination. So, naturally, IIT Bombay had to reschedule the date for JEE Advanced 2022. Accordingly, August 28, 2022, has been decided as the exam date.
Candidates who successfully qualify the JEE Main 2022 examination can begin registering for the next stage from August 07, 2022. Registration process will happen online, on the official website jeeadv.ac.in. They will have time up to August 11, 2022, 5:00 pm to submit their online form. Furthermore, the last date to pay the application fee is August 12, 2022, up to 5:00 pm.

JEE Advanced 2022 – Revised Dates for JEE Main Sessions 1, 2
As per the revised schedule uploaded on jeemain.nta.nic.in, the JEE Main 2022 Session 1 exam is scheduled on June 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28 and 29, 2022. Thereafter, session 2 will be organised on July 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29 and 30, 2022. Evidently, there is a 30-day gap between the two consecutive sessions.
Registration for JEE Main 2022 session 1 is over. The dates for session 2 shall be announced on the official website, in the coming days.
