Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore has declared the Joint Admission Test (JAM) 2021 results today i.e., March 20, 2021. Candidates who appeared for the IIT JAM 2021 examination on February 14, 2021, can check their results on the official website jam.iisc.ac.in. Scorecards for the same shall be available to download from March 27 to July 31, 2021.
IISc Bangalore declared the IIT JAM 2021 results today on the official website jam.iisc.ac.in. To check the results, candidates must access the homepage of the website. They must click on the ‘Click here’ option next to ‘JAM 2021 Results are announced’ update. This shall be present under the ‘JAM 2021 Latest Updates’ section.
The JAM Online Application Processing System (JOAPS) will get open in a new window in which the candidates have to enter their login credentials. These credentials include the enrolment ID/email ID and the password. After entering the credentials, candidates must click on the ‘submit’ option.
Once the candidate has successfully logged -in, the IIT JAM 2021 results shall be displayed on the screen. They can download the results and take a print-out of the document for future use. Subsequently, authorities are expected to release the examination scorecards on the official website. These scorecards shall be available for download from March 27 to July 31, 2021.
IISc officials also specified the details mentioned in the IIT JAM 2021 scorecard. The documents shall contain information like the All India Rank (AIR) and the marks obtained by the respective candidate. Scorecards shall only be issued to candidates who have qualified the IIT JAM 2021 examination.
IISc Bangalore shall prepare and release separate merit lists for each test paper as per the All India Ranks of a candidate in JAM. Candidates will get a place on the merit list, based on the total seats available category-wise in a particular subject. The categories comprise OBC-NCL, SC, ST, PwD and EWS. Candidates appearing in the merit list shall thus, be eligible to apply for the corresponding programme at the prestigious IITs and IISc.
Authorities use a certain tie-breaking system to assign ranks to candidates who have qualified for the IIT JAM 2021 examination. This system is applied to candidates who have scored the same aggregate marks in the examination. In such cases, the NAT score shall be considered followed by the MSQ section scores. In case the tie persists, the candidate with a higher positive to negative marks ratio shall be given a higher rank. The date of birth shall be the final tiebreaker. If the tie still exists, candidates shall be awarded the same rank.
