Guru Govind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi has released a circular regarding their new admission process for the session 2019-20. As per the circular, the famous common entrance test of the university known as IPU CET is being withdrawn for major courses.
In 2019, the admission for B.Tech, MCA, BA/BBA LLB, LLM and MBA programmes will be based on the National Level Entrance Tests only. IP University Admission 2019 for B.Tech will be based on JEE Main 2019 Paper 1 scores. For the MCA programmes, admission will be based on the performance of the candidates in NIMCET 2019.
Similarly, for the BA/BBA LLB courses the scores of CLAT UG will be used and CLAT PG scores for the LLM admissions. For the MBA programmes, CAT 2018 scores will be used. However, since the new admission process has been announced after the completion of the CAT 2018 exam, IPU will intake admission on the basis of NTA held CMAT 2019 exam too. But the admission based on CMAT exam will be after July 31, 2019, if any seats are vacant after exhausting the CAT 2018 merit list for admission.

Also, for B.Arch admission candidates will have to have valid NATA scores like every year. However, after July 31, 2019, the JEE Main 2019 Paper 2 scores will be used for any vacant seats after exhausting the NATA merit list for admissions.
The circular also states that other than the B.Tech, MCA, BA/BBA LLB, LLM, MBA, MBBS, BDS, MHMS, BAMS and PGMC programmes, admissions in all other courses will be based on merit and IPU CET 2019.
