The Indian Navy has started the application process for Sailor (MR) posts from today, October 29, 2021; onwards. Interested and eligible candidates can apply at the official website – joinindiannavy.gov.in. It must be noted that the last date for registration is November 02, 2021. Through this recruitment drive, a total of 300 Sailor posts will be filled. It is expected that around 1500 candidates will be called for the written examination and the physical fitness test. Moreover, the cut-off marks in the examination will vary depending on the state.
To register for the Indian Navy Sailor 2021 examination, take a look at the following steps.
Step 1- Visit the official website – joinindiannavy.gov.in
Step 2- Candidates who will be applying for the first time have to click on the ‘Register’ option
Step 3- Enter email and other credentials and complete the registration process
Step 4- Use the same email ID and log in
Step 5- Click on ‘Current Opportunities’ and press the ‘Apply’ button
Step 6- Fill up the Indian Navy Sailor Application form
Step 7- Upload the necessary documents and submit the application form
As per the official notification, good quality photographs with a blue background have to be uploaded while filling the application form. Alternatively, one can reach out to the Common Service Centres (CSC) situated across the country and fill up the application form against a fixed fee of Rs 60 + GST. However, this is optional. In case a candidate faces any difficulty during the application process, they can reach out to the IHQ MoD (Navy) via joinindiannavy.gov.in.
In terms of eligibility criteria, the candidate must have passed matriculation from the recognized school education boards. Moreover, the candidate must be born between April 01, 2002, and March 31, 2005. The written test will have an objective-type bilingual question paper. It will comprise two sections Science and Mathematics and General Knowledge. The question paper will be based on a 10th standard level. The examination will be held for a duration of 30 minutes. Candidates can also go through the syllabus that is available on the official website.
It must be noted that all candidates appearing for the written examination will also have to go through the physical fitness test (PFT) on the same day. PFT is a mandatory round that the candidates must qualify for selection. It will consist of a 1.6 km run that has to be completed in 7 minutes. Along with this, the candidate has to perform 20 squats and 10 push-ups.
