Indian Air Force (IAF) has declared the result of Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) 2019 today i.e. March 06, 2019. The result has been uploaded on the official website of IAF at afcat.cdac.in in Candidate Login Section. The AFCAT result announced for the online examination held on February 16, 17, 2019 all across the country. The candidates appeared in the examination can check their result by entering email id and password.
The result is purely based on the performance of the candidates in the examination. Soon the IAF will release the cut off marks of AFCAT 2019 examination. Then the candidates will be able to check the cut off marks from the website. All the qualifiers of AFCAT / AFCAT and EKT now have to attend the Air Force Selection Board (AFSB) Interview at AFSB centers.
The AFSB will be conducted at 4 cities namely; Dehradun, Mysore, Gandhinagar, and Varanasi. The candidates shortlisted for the AFSB, firstly they have to choose the examination center among the 4 cities. The candidates who will choose the AFSB exam center on time for those only AFCAT Admit Card 01/2019 for AFSB round will be issued. The admit card will be made available at the official website. IAF will issue the call letter for the interview through login.
The selection of the candidates into their preferred branch is based on the performance in AFSB and medical fitness.
The AFSB round has two-stage testing, in stage I the candidates have to undergo the Officer Intelligence rating Test, Picture Perception and Discussion Test. Stage I will be qualifying round for stage II testing.
The qualifier of the stage I will have to stay at AFSB center for next 4-5 days for tests, and the disqualified candidates will have to route back after result announcement on the same day. The qualified candidates will have to undergo the various tests namely Psychological Tests, Group Tests, CPSS testing (only for the flying branch).
The candidates should know that they have to produce all the essential documents at the time of the AFSB interview.
After AFSB, the recommended candidates have to appear for the medical examination either at Air Force Central Medical Establishment (AFCME), New Delhi or Institute of Aviation Medicine, Bengaluru. At the end of recruitment, the IAF will prepare the All India Merit List, based on the performance of the candidate.
