IIT Madras has announced the GATE 2019 Result a day before on March 15, 2019, at 5:00 PM. The candidates can check their result at GATE online application processing system (GOAPS). It is to be noted that the GATE 2019 Result declared now is the statement of their raw/normalised marks in the exam out of 100 only.

The GATE 2019 score, marks out of 100, qualifying marks, and the AIR will be declared via the GATE 2019 scorecard on March 20, 2019. The admission and recruitments are based on the GATE scorecard and not the result. Therefore the candidates have to later visit the GOAPS and get their scorecard.

Note that the candidates who have appeared in the Mechanical Engineering (ME) and Civil Engineering (CE) paper will get normalised marks in their result. this is because these paper were held in multisession. The candidates who have appeared in the rest of the papers will have their raw marks in the result as they were held in single shift and day.

To check the GATE 2019 Result the candidates have to visit the GOAPS website, appsgate.iitm.ac.in, and enter their Enrollment ID / Email Address / Registration ID and Password to check the result. Once the login details are entered the result appears on the screen.

In the result, the candidates can check their name, photo, signature, registration number, examination paper, marks out of 100 (raw/normalised), and category wise qualifying marks in the paper.

IIT Madras had conducted the GATE 2019 exam on February 02, 03, 09, 10, 2019 in online mode only. There were 24 papers in GATE 2019, statistics being the newest addition form this year. The maximum marks in each paper are 100.

After the GATE 2019 result is declared the candidates who have qualified the exam and have their scorecard, have to participate in the centralised counselling for admission in M.E/M.Tech/M.Arch and other courses. In addition to that, the candidates can also opt for PSU recruitments based on their GAYE 2019 scores.

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a national level engineering exam for the candidates who have completed their UG or in the final year of the graduation programmes. Such candidates can take the exam and apply for admission in Master degree courses at IITs, IIITs, CFTIs etc.
