The official website of Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2019 reads “The Last date for submission of the complete application is 1 October, 2019 (23:59 Hrs, IST).” This means candidates have one whole year to complete the application process. Actually, this is a huge mistake in the part of IIT M. The last date to apply for GATE 2019 is October 01, 2018. This is a typing error where they have mistakenly updated the date as October 01, 2019 instead of October 01, 2018.
Thus, aspirants should not get confused and complete their application process by 11:59 PM today. The dates updated on the website is wrongCandidatesand we are trying to connect with the authorities so that the error is rectified as soon as possible.

The extended period fro GATE 2019 application form started on September 24, 2018 and candidates were charged Rs. 500/- as late fee during this period which is ending today, October 01, 2018.
The GATE 2019 application form correction window is also open now. Candidates must note that their application forms are under scrutiny and the application form correction button is being activated at the GOAPS portal under the candidate’s login. Thus to make correction in the application form, candidates have to login using their application number and password.
The correction window will be an one time opportunity to make correction in the form after that the provision will not be available to any one.
GATE 2019 exam will be held on February 2, 3, 9 and 10, 2019. The GATE 2019 admit card to the registered candidates will be made available at GOAPS itself on January 04, 2019. Admit card will be available in online mode only and no other mode will be available for the same.
IITs and IISc will grant admission on the basis of GATE 2019, in M.Tech / M.Sc. / M.Arch / M.Plan / Ph.D courses in engineering, technology, and architecture. Even PSUs will recruit candidates on the basis of GATE score.
