IIT JAM 2019 Answer Key

The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur has released the Answer Key for IIT JAM 2019 on February 25, 2019. Along with the answer key, the candidates can also download Question Paper of their respective subject code. The answer key has been released online at jam.iitkgp.ac.in. The Joint Admission Test for MSc 2019 was conducted on February 10, 2019, at various test cities across India.

The Answer Key contains the correct answer responses for all the questions that were asked in the exam. To download IIT-JAM Answer Key 2019, candidates will have to visit the official website for JAM 2019. Then, on the homepage of the website, the candidates need to click on the relevant link for downloading the Question Paper and Answer Key. In the next screen, the candidates need to click on the Answer Key and Question Paper for their respective subject code.

The candidates should now use their response sheet, question paper and answer key to cross-check their answers and calculate their probable score. Remember that the calculation of marks is to be done as per the marking scheme given by the exam conducting body.

The entrance exam for JAM 2019 was divided into three sections- Section A, Section B, and Section C. In the JAM 2019 Question Paper, the First section, which was Section–A contained a total of 30 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) involving 10 questions of one mark each and 20 questions of two marks each. Next, section B had a total of 10 Multiple Select Questions (MSQs) carrying two marks each. Finally, Section C had a total of 20 Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions involving 10 questions of one mark each and 10 questions of two marks each.

Now, as far as the marking scheme is concerned, in Section-A (MCQ), for a wrong answer in 01 marks question, the candidates need to deduct 1/3 marks, and likewise, for each wrong answer of 2 marks questions, 2/3 mark will be deducted. Whereas, in Section-B (MSQ), there are no negative and no partial marking provisions. Furthermore, there is no negative marking in Section-C (NAT) as well.

Candidates shall be allowed to submit the objection in the answer key. The exam conducting body has not yet made any announcement regarding submitting the objection in the JAM Answer Key.  On the basis of the final answer key, the exam conducting body then releases the Final Answer Key by making the necessary corrections, if required. The result for JAM 2019 is evaluated on the basis of the Final Answer Key. IIT Kharagpur will announce the JAM 2019 Result on March 10, 2019.
