The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has successfully conducted the IIT Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) on February 13, 2022. Candidates who appeared in the IIT JAM 2022 Geology examination can get a rough estimation of their scores by using the answer keys released by several institutes. This answer key is unofficial with an accuracy between 90 to 95 percent.

Question Paper Pattern
The JAM examination has a simplified question paper pattern as candidates will be asked three types of questions, Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), Multiple Select Questions (MSQs), and Numerical Answer Type (NAT). There will be a total of 60 questions which are further categorized as.

Marks carries by each question vary from section to section. For every incorrect answer, candidates must look out for the negative marking. The total weightage of the examination is 100 marks.
Exam Analysis
The level of difficulty of the JAM Geology examination was between moderate to tough. In the question paper, the students had to solve questions mainly from Geomorphology, Structural Geology, Petrology, and Economic Geology. Candidates also said that the questions challenged their thinking and problem-solving abilities. Overall, the exam pattern and the difficulty level were as per expectations.
The challenging part of the paper was solving the Numerical Answer Type (NAT) which was framed in such a way that candidates had to think a lot before jumping on to a conclusion.
