The Indian Institute of Technology, Dhanbad formely known as Indian School of Mines has released its recruitment notice inviting online application from Indian nationals for the non-teching posts. The detailed notice/adv Adv No. 411002/3/2019-Estt is hereby released on the official website. Candidates can submit the form on or before December 4, 2019.
Various posts announced through the notice are assistant engineer (civil/electrical), junior engineer (civil/electrical), junior superintendent (security/ library/sanitation/hospitality)/ junior technical superintendent (medical)/ staff nurse and junior technician (civil maintenance/ electrical maintenance/library)/ junior assistant (hospitality).
Before applying for any post candidates must check they lie in the eligibility criteria. For age the candidates must either be or under 35 years except for the candidates applying for the post of Jr. superintendent (Sanitation), Jr. technician (Civil, electrical, technician maintenance) and Jr. assistant (Hospitality) they should lie under 30 years of age. Candidates must have relevant degrees in the field they want to apply from the recognized board/university and additionally some years of work experience in their field for some posts.
For applying for the post eligible candidates have to fill the online application form through the Institute’s website which is iitism.ac.in. Visit the official website. Upon landing on the main page, you will see “quick links” section in blue tab. Under which click on “Recruitment @IIT ISM” link. Soon after clicking on the link, list of various notices will get displayed. Access the “S.No 3A” link. Read the guidelines and access the application form filling link within.
They must arrange the following documents for uploading. Scanned signature, photograph and payment receipt of maximum size upto 100 KB in JPG format. Handwritten document specifying what makes them seem desirable and interested to apply for this post. SC/ST/OBC/EWS and PWD candidates upload their relevant certificates. Apart from this all candidates have to upload their academic certificates from class X onwards and all these images should not exceed the maximum size of 1024 KB in pdf format.
Against the filling of application form for reserving a post under IIT ISM applicants have to pay an application fee of Rs. 500 online through SBI collect. For female candidates and SC/ST/Divyang/Ex-Service men eligible for reservation enjoys exemption in paying the fee. Print out of the duly filled and signed form has to be sent “to the Deputy Registrar (Estt.), Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad, Dhanbad – 826 004 (Jharkhand)”, in an envelope super scribed as “Application for the post of ‘name of the post’ ” till December 14, 2019.
For the selection of candidates, two step procedure is followed by the recruitment committee. Part A: Eligible candidates are called on the basis of their qualification for a screening test or practical skill test of a total of 100 marks. Qualified candidates are then called for appearing in the main examination (Part B). It is of 100 marks and contains one written test of 80 marks and computer proficiency test – 20 marks.
Exam takers qualifying the Part B examination in accordance with the qualifying marks decided by the constituted committee will be called for Presentation & Interview (100 marks) before the selection Committee. Accordingly a merit list is prepared upon the candidates performance by the following formula: Final Marks = (Marks in written test + Marks in Computer Proficiency Test) X 75% + (Marks in Interview) X 25% and candidates will be selected after competing for 51 vacancies.
