Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the registration process for MBA OPENMAT, B.Ed and Post Basic B.Sc Nursing 2021 entrance tests to March 25, 2021. Eligible candidates who are still interested in applying for the entrance exam can do so on the official website ignou.ac.in. The IGNOU 2021 application process is being conducted through online mode. Candidates have to register on the official website, fill the application form, upload important documents and pay the application fee. Previously, the registration deadline was March 20, 2021. However, authorities have decided to extend the process till this Thursday.
IGNOU 2021 application process began on March 2, 2021, and was scheduled to end on March 20, 2021. Candidates had to register for the entrance test for the January 2021 session within this deadline. However, IGNOU recently decided to extend the deadline to March 25, 2021, giving five extra days to students to apply for the entrance test. Candidates can do so through the online mode on the official website ignou.ac.in.
The OPENMAT 2021 examination for MBA and the B.Ed entrance exam are scheduled on April 11, 2021. However, the entrance tests shall be held in different time slots for different programmes. B.Ed entrance exam is scheduled from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm whereas for MBA OPENMAT 2021, the slot is from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Similarly, entrance test for the Post Basic B.Sc Nursing programme is also scheduled on April 11, 2021.
Candidates willing to appear for the January 2021 session entrance test are advised to download the prospectus of the respected programme. This prospectus is available on the official website ignou.ac.in. On the same website, candidates must register themselves by clicking on the ‘NEW REGISTRATION’ option. They must fill in the appropriate username and password. The username must be between 8 to 16 characters whereas the password must be alphanumeric between 8 to 16 characters.
After filling the required information, candidates must click on the ‘submit’ option. Instantly, they shall receive their username on their registered email ID and phone number. Using these credentials, candidates must login to the official website to fill the application form. Candidates are instructed to keep scanned copies of their recent photograph and signature ready before filling the application form. These images are to be uploaded during the application process.
IGNOU 2021 application process also includes the step of paying the application fee. Candidates can pay this fee using Credit card (Master or Visa), Debit card (Master, Visa or Rupay) or net banking. Once the candidates have uploaded the required documents, they must click the ‘next’ button to avail the ‘Form preview’ option. They are advised to take a printout of the same for future reference. Candidates are advised to complete all these formalities on or before March 25, 2021.
