ICSE Hindi Semester 1: Exam Analysis
This year the council has decided to conduct the Hindi Semester 1, ICSE examination with a reduced syllabus and altered test pattern. As per students, the questions in the exam were primarily from the revised syllabus released by the council earlier. The questions in the ‘Reading Comprehension’ were easy to direct. The antonyms and synonyms were also not very tough and questions from short stories and poems were also not difficult if the candidate has well prepared for them.
The council has earlier notified that this year, the questions in the ICSE Hindi Semester 1 shall be based on the topics mentioned in the space below:
- Short Stories
- Poems
- Novels
- One Act Play
There was not a single question in the examination that could be termed out of the syllabus or insignificant. The council stuck to the syllabus they have notified earlier. Along with this, the altered test structure also did not pose a problem for the candidates because the format was similar to the specimen paper of the ICSE Semester 1 Hindi paper released earlier.
According to the revised test structure, the ICSE Hindi Semester 1 paper had questions in the MCQ (multiple choice question) format, i.e. four options for a particular question. Hindi Semester 1 examination was held for 40 marks for a composite duration of 1 hour and 30 minutes.
