Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) has announced that ICSE class 10th result 2020 will be announced on or after July 15, 2020. Students can check their result online at cisce.org. The Council has cancelled the remaining papers of ICSE exam 2020 due to rising cases of COVID-19. Moreover, a new assessment scheme has been announced for the cancelled papers.
The result of the remaining papers of ICSE Class 10th subjects is going to be computed by considering the following factors:
# The average scores of the candidate’s best 3 performing subjects shall be taken into account.
# Next, the marks of the internal assessment of those papers in which the candidates appeared will also be considered.
# Percentage of marks obtained by the candidates in the internal assessment of those papers will also be considered.
CISCE has also given the choice to ICSE Class 10th students to write the remaining papers if it decides to conduct the examinations. However, this is only possible, if the situation is conducive to conduct the examination. If the examination is not conducted, then, the marks computed using the above-given assessment scheme will be considered as the final marks.
To check ICSE Class 10th result 2020, the students will have to first visit the official website, cisce.org. Then, the students have to enter their course name, UID, index number. After entering the details, the students have to enter the option of ‘show result’. After clicking on this option, the result will be displayed on the screen. As the last step, the students have to download or take the screenshot of the result.
The qualifying marks of ICSE Class 10th examination is 35% in each subject. Also, to avoid going to the school for collecting the ICSE Class 10th mark sheet, the students can download it from the Digilocker app. The mark sheets will be released after the declaration of the result. To download the mark sheet, the students have to first create a profile. After creating the profile, the students can enter their user id and password to download the mark sheet.
Last year, 1.76 lakh students appeared for ICSE Class 10th examination and 98.54% was the passing percentage of the year 2019. Girls outperformed boys with a pass percentage of 98.95%.
