ICMR- National Institute of Cholera and Enteric Diseases (ICMR-NICED) is looking for eligible candidates to fill up the vacant posts of Technical Officer. The conducting body has also published a notification with No. 02/EID NACO/2020 on the official website, niced.org.in. As per the notification, the conducting body has announced only 01 vacancies for the said post. Eligible and interested candidates can submit applications on or before September 21, 2020.
As per the notification, the recruitment announced by ICMR- NICED is completely on a temporary basis. Candidates who qualify the selection procedure are recruited for a short period of time. The vacant post of Technical Officer is announced under the project entitled “Early Infant Diagnosis, NACO”. They have to work under Dr M. K. Saha, Scientist F of the institute. Those who are appointed as the Technical Officer gets a monthly salary of Rs. 25,000/-.
Applicants who are shortlisted for the said post have to perform HIV DNA PCR testing for infants and children < 18 months. They have to ensure that all the documentation is according to the operational guidelines as provided. The job description also includes taking care of confidentiality, ensure that samples under in repository are not used for research, maintenance of all samples for sample repository. The newly appointed Technical Officer also have to ensure that the work output is of 8 hours per day for actual test performance and documentation.
Before applicants start the application procedure, they must refer to the notification published by ICMR- NICED. Applicants intending to apply for Technical Officer must have M. Sc in Medical Virology/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Life Sciences. They must possess a minimum of 02 years of work experience in Molecular Diagnostic Laboratory, Medical Microbiology/ Immunological Laboratory Techniques. Candidates possessing experience of working in Molecular Diagnostic labs are preferred. Moreover, their age should not exceed that of 62 years as on September 21, 2020.
Candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria are suggested to apply for the said post. They have to submit an application along with bio-data indicating the academic record from 10th class onwards, work experience in the concerned field, recent passport size photograph attached to the form. Also, self-attested copies of relevant certificates should be sent with the form.
