ICFAI Business School (IBS) was founded in 1995, and is deemed to be University. Part of the Icfai Foundation for Higher Education, IBS Hyderabad offers 2-years full time MBA program and PhD program. Campuses of the institute are located in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Gurgaon, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune.
IBSAT 2019 is the entrance exam for admission to IBS.
For admission to academic session 2020-2021, IBS has announced IBSAT 2019 exam date and also opened registrations. Last date to register is December 12, 2019. The exam will be held on December 21 and 22, 2019. Thereafter result will be announced in the first week of January 2020.
The IBS Admission Test will be a computer based test of two hours duration. It will have multiple choice questions that would test ability in quantitative techniques, data interpretation, data adequacy, vocabulary, analytical reasoning and reading comprehension.
Who can apply: For PG programs, candidates with graduation in any discipline, with at least 50% marks with English as medium of instruction are eligible. It is required to have completed at least 15 years of education on 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 basis. Those in final year of graduation, who will complete the same by May 31, 2020, can also apply. Deadline to submit proof of graduation is November 01, 2020.
Such candidates who do not meet the Enlgish as medium of instruction requirement can also apply, albeit they have to submit TOEFL or NELT or IELTS scores by May 31, 2020.
For PhD program, one should have 50% in graduation. In addition they should have at least 55% in either post-graduation in management (full time with specialization in marketing / finance / HR / operations), or post-graduation in Economics / Commerce / Psychology / Sociology / Public Administration / Statistics / Mathematics or allied discipline, or professional qualification like CFA / CA / CWA / CS.
For PhD in Economics, candidate should have graduation with 50%, post-graduation in economics or allied discipline with 55%.
The application fee is Rs 1,800.
Selection Process: ICFAI shortlists candidates on the basis of IBSAT, GMAT, CAT, NMAT by GMAC and will call shortlisted candidates for selection process at IBS Hyderabad in February 2020. Thereafter final selection shall be on basis of GD, PI, and past academic record.
On the basis of this exam, admission is offered to MBA/PhD programs at IBS Hyderabad; MBA program at IBS Dehradun, IBS Jaipur; PGPM at IBS Ahmedabad, IBS Bengaluru, IBS Gurgaon, IBS Kolkata, IBS Mumbai, IBS Pune.
Selection briefings have been scheduled from January 11, 2020, to January 20, 2020. Selection process will be from February 22, 2020, to February 29, 2020.
GMAT, CAT, NMAT by GMAC scores of exams held from 2017 onwards are also accepted for admission to IBS. moreover IBS alumni, M.Phil degree holders, and UGC NET qualified candidates are exempted from IBSAT 2019 for PhD program.
