Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) – Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) is inviting online application for the engagement of eligible candidates for the vacant posts of Research Associate. Candidates can submit their applications for the one advertised post. ICAR-IARI will be conducting an online interview to shortlisted candidates for the said post. The post of Research Associate is announced under a CSIR funded project at Division of Plant Physiology, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi-12. The project is titled – “Association between candidates genes and traits governing phosphorous use efficiency in wheat”. The duration of the project until June 2022. Candidates who are recruited under this post are selected on a contractual basis. During their service period, they will receive a monthly emolument of Rs. 47,000/- + 24% HRA as per CSIR guidelines.
Applications from only eligible candidates are accepted by ICAR-IARI. Those who possess PhD degree in Plant Biotechnology/ Molecular Biology and Biotechnology are eligible to apply for Research Associate post. Moreover, they shall possess experience in wet-lab and bioinformatics, molecular markers and association mapping. Experience in working with data analysis and interpretation, field copies, manuscript writing as evident from published work is desirable. The upper age limit for Research Associate is 40 years. Age relaxations to SC/ ST and women candidates are permissible for up to 05 years and 03 years for OBC candidates.
Due to COVID-19 pandemic, ICAR-IARI has decided to conduct application submission through online process. Along with the form, aspirants have to ensure that they attach bio-data in prescribed proforma, self-attested scanned copies of original documents in support of 10th passing, educational qualification either original or provisional, proof of experience, photograph, age, NET/equivalent certificate, no objection certificate and others. All these documents should be merged in one .pdf file.
It is after the screening of the application form that candidates are shortlisted for the interview. Owing to the COVID-19, ICAR-IARI has decided to conduct an online interview. All the eligible candidates will be informed about the date and time for the online interview by email. Original documents will be verified at the time of the appointment.
