The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection has officially published the detailed advertisement for the 2020 Common Recruitment Process for Officers (Scale I, II & III) and Office Assistant in Regional Rural Banks (RRBs). The notice is available at the website ibps.in. Eligible and aspiring candidates can visit the website to download the notice and apply for recruitment. As per the official notice, the online registration and application process starts on July 01, 2020, and ends on July 21, 2020. The Preliminary stage exam for Office Assistant and Officer (Scale-I) is scheduled to be held in the month of September/October 2020 while the Main exam is scheduled to be held in the month of October/November 2020. Those who apply for the post of Officer (Scale II & III) have to appear in a Single Level exam which is also scheduled to be held in the month of October/November 2020.
The IBPS does not conventionally indicate the number of vacancies but the recruitment is done in the partnering RRBs listed in the official notification. In order to apply for the recruitment, candidates have to be within the age range of 18 to 28 years for Office Assistant, 18 to 30 years for Officer (Scale I), 21 to 32 years for Officer (Scale II) and 21 to 40 years for Officer (Scale III). The IBPS however, allows relaxations on the upper age limit for candidates belonging to special reserved categories. Candidates having a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, proficient in relevant local language and computer knowledge can apply for the posts of Office Assistant, Officer (Scale I), Officer (Scale II-General) & Officer (Scale III). For the post of Officer (Scale II-Specialist), candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics/Computer Science/Communication/Information Technology or Chartered Accountant qualification or a Law degree or MBA.
Eligible candidates are shortlisted and issued admit cards to appear in the corresponding exam. Those applying for the post of Office Assistant and Officer (Scale I) must appear and qualify in a Preliminary exam and subsequently in the Main exam. Those who qualify are shortlisted for the final interview. However, candidates applying to the post of Officer (Scale II & III) must appear and qualify in a Single Level Examination. The Prelims consist of 40 questions each from the papers of Reasoning & Numerical Ability/Quantitative Aptitude while the Main exam consists of 200 questions in total from the papers of Reasoning, Computer Knowledge, General Awareness, English, Hindi and Numerical Ability/Quantitative Aptitude. The score of the Main exam is considered for the final merit listing of those who apply for the post of Office Assistant. The marks of the Main exam and the final interview are considered for final merit listing for those who apply for the post of Officer (Scale I). The marks of the Single Level exam are considered for shortlisting for interview and final merit list for applicants to the posts of Officer (Scale II & III).

The applications can be made online through the official website of IBPS between the aforementioned dates. The application fee is Rs 850 for General candidates while SC/ST and PWBD candidates must pay a discounted fee of Rs 175 only. Prior to filling up of the application form, candidates have to register first at the IBPS website. It is necessary to upload scanned copies of photograph, signature, Left Thumb Impression and hand written declaration at the online application form.
