Himachal Pradesh Staff Selection Commission, Hamirpur is looking for eligible candidates for multiple posts. The recruitment is announced through the Advertisement No. 36 -3/ 2020 that is published recently on hpsssb.hp.gov.in. As per the notification, HPSSSB has advertised a total of 1649 vacancies for this recruitment. The online application procedure will start from September 26, 2020 onwards. Eligible candidates can apply for the same by the last date i.e October 25, 2020.
The recruitment is announced for the various department which is as follows Junior Engineer, Junior Office Assistant, Stenographer, Station Fire Officer, Traffic Inspector, Technician, Statistical Assistant, Asstt. Store Keeper, Inspector, Assistant Librarian, Junior Cameraman, Cook, Assistant Manager, Salesman, Workshop Instructor, Sericulture Inspector, Junior Draughtsman, Clerk, Junior Officer, Computer Operator, Laboratory Assistant, Scientific Assistant Forensic Psychology, Bandman-cum-Guardsman and Restorer. Each post name has allocated a postcode which is available on the notification.
Candidates are suggested to go through the eligibility criteria once before they apply for the posts. The posts are open for 12th/ Bachelor/ Master degree holders. Moreover, aspirants who are applying for Statistical Assistant should have a minimum of 03 years of experience in the field of collection compilation of statistical data. For the rest of the posts, candidates should have knowledge of the customs, manners, dialects of Himachal Pradesh.
The application form link can be assessed from the official website of HPSSSB, hpsssb.hp.gov.in. Thereafter, aspirants can proceed to apply for the vacant posts. After filling up the personal and contact details, candidates have to upload their photograph and signature. Once done, it is suggested to take a printout of the application form and keep it for future use.
While applying, candidates are also asked to pay the examination fee for successful submission of the form. Those who belong to General Category/ E.W.S, Ex-Servicemen of HP have to pay Rs. 360/-. Candidates belonging to General IRDP, Physically Handicapped, Ward of Freedom Fighter, Ward of Ex-Servicemen of HP, SC/ ST/ OBC/ BPL, EWS (BPL) have to pay Rs. 120/-. All the female candidates, Ex-servicemen of HP are exempted from the application fee submission.
Shortlisting of candidates for the announced posts is based on the written test, skill test, typing test, physical standard and physical efficiency test depending upon the requirement of the post. The written screening test is conducted for 85 marks. In this stage, candidates have to answer 170 multiple-choice questions. Each question will carry 1/2 marks. Candidates have to secure the qualifying marks in the written examination stage to appear for skill test.
