HPSSC Announced Multiple Vacancies for 896 Posts, [email protected]/ from June 22

Himachal Pradesh Staff Selection Commission is inviting online applications from eligible candidates to fill up the 896 vacancies. The posts that are advertised in Advt No 36 -2/ 2020 are of Junior Engineer (Mechanical), Video Film Editor, Surveyor, Ayurvedic Pharmacist, Junior Draughtsman, Law Officer, Junior Engineer (Electrical), Clerk, Ophthalmic Officer (Allopathy), Labour Inspector, Junior Laboratory Technician, Junior Quality Control Officer, Marketing Assistant, Technical Superintendent, Milk Procurement Assistant, Plant Operator, Computer Operator, Shastri, Language Teacher, Junior Office Assistant and Junior Draughtsman (Electrical). Candidate’s age should not be less than 18 years and more than 45 years to apply for these posts. Interested candidates can submit their online applications from June 22, 2020, to July 21, 2020, through hpsssb.hp.gov.in.

The announced 896 vacancies are distributed amongst all the posts that are advertised under the recruitment. The post of Shastri has the largest share of 454 vacancies followed by Language Teacher post having 229 vacancies and Ayurvedic Pharmacist with 81 vacancies. For the post of Junior Engineer (Mechanical) 01 vacancy is advertised, 01 for Video Film Editor, 17 for Surveyor, 14 for Junior Draughtsman, 01 for Law Officer, 01 for Junior Engineer (Electrical), 01 for Clerk, 04 for Ophthalmic Officer (Allopathy), 01 for Labour Inspector, 02 for Junior Laboratory Technician, 03 for Junior Quality Control Officer, 03 for Marketing Assistant, 14 for Technical Superintendent, 09 for Milk Procurement Assistant, 06 for Plant Operator, 04 for Computer Operator, 45 for Junior Office Assistant and 05 for Junior Draughtsman (Electrical).

Candidates who are willing to apply for Junior Engineer (Mechanical should have passed 10+2 or its equivalent, Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. For the post of Video Film Editor, candidates shall possess 10+2, Diploma/ Degree in Film Editing, 10th pass for Surveyor and Junior Draughtsman, 10+2, Diploma/ Bachelor Degree (Pharmacy (Ayurveda) for Ayurvedic Pharmacist, Degree in Law for Law Officer, Diploma/ Degree in Electrical/ Electronics Engineering, 12th Class for Clerk, 10+2 with Science and B.Sc Ophthalmology for Ophthalmic Officer (Allopathy), Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline for Labour Inspector, M.Sc./ B.Sc. in Microbiology/ Biotechnology for Junior Laboratory Technician, M.Sc. in Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Food Technology for Junior Quality Control Officer, MBA in Marketing for Marketing Assistant, Degree (Dairy/Food Technology) for Technical Superintendent, Graduate for Milk Procurement Assistant. Candidates must have qualified ITI Certificate (Fitter/ Mechanic/ Electrical/ Refrigeration) to apply for Plant Operator, Diploma/ Bachelor Degree (Computer Application/ Information Technology/ Computer Science for Computer Operator. To apply for Shastri, candidates should have passed in Teacher Eligibility Test (TET Shastri), B.Com for Junior Office Assistant, Diploma (Elementary Education), B.A/ M.A (Hindi), B.Ed., Pass in Teacher Eligibility Test (TET Language Teacher) for language Teacher, 10th or ITI for Junior Draughtsman (Electrical).

Eligible candidates should visit the official website of HPSSC which is hpsssb.hp.gov.in to submit the online application form. Aspirants must make sure that they register themselves first. Once the registration process is over, the candidate can proceed to fill up the application form. For this, they have to pay the specified application fee of Rs. 360/-. Candidates who being to General IRDP, Physically Handicapped, Ward of Freedom Fighter, Ward of Ex-Servicemen of HP, SC/ST/OBC/BPL/Ex-servicemen who retired from Defence Services on their request of HP have to pay Rs.120/-. Female candidates, Ex-Servicemen of H.P who completed their tenure are exempted from the fee submission.

The selection of the candidates is based on Merit –Cum-Option-Cum-Availability of Post. Candidates have to appear for the written examination that is conducted for 85 marks. Candidates have to answer 170 multiple-choice questions. After qualifying the written examination, they are called for the evaluation round followed by a skill test for some posts. HPSSC conducts the evaluation round for 15 marks. The final merit list is uploaded on the official website of the commission.
