Himachal Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (HP BOSE) has officially postponed the upcoming Himachal Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test 2020 on account of the COVID-19 pandemic. HP TET 2020 exam for JBT & Shastri, which was scheduled to be conducted on July 26, 2020, has been postponed through an official notice released by the Board today. A snapshot of the official postponement notice is provided here for the convenience of readers. However, the notice is available at the official website of the Board i.e. hpbose.org. As per the notice, the aforementioned exam was scheduled to be conducted on the specified date at 91 exam centers across the state of Himachal Pradesh. The Board has also provided a contact number for communication regarding the postponement notice. Concerned individuals can contact the Board at 01892-242192 for any queries in relation to the postponement of the Shashtri & JBT TET 2020 exams.
The Himachal Pradesh Board of Secondary Education released the official notification of the HP TET 2020 exam in June 2020. Subsequently, the application process commenced in June and was further extended by four days till July 10, 2020. The Board notified that the TET 2020 exam of the state is scheduled to be conducted for 08 subjects including the exams for Shastri & JBT. Incidentally, as per the schedule of exam published by the Board, the commencement of the TET 2020 exam was marked by the exams for JBT TET & Shastri TET on July 26, 2020. The exams for the other papers are scheduled on subsequent dates as per the scheduled published by the Board earlier. With the release of the official postponement notice, these two exams i.e. JBT TET and Shashtri TET 2020 stands postponed till further notice.
In addition to the announcement of the postponement of the Shashtri TET & JBT TET exams, the Himachal Pradesh Board of Secondary Education has also indicated that the revised schedule of the postponed exams will be announced separately in due course of time. In this context, the exams for the remaining 06 subjects of the HP TET 2020 i.e. TGT (Non-Medical) TET, Language Teacher TET, TGT (Arts) TET, TGT (Medical) TET, Punjabi TET, and Urdu TET are however scheduled to be conducted on predecided dates in August 2020. As per the existing schedule, these remaining exams of the HP TET 2020 are scheduled to be conducted on August 02, 08, and 09, 2020 in two shifts i.e. 10.00 AM to 12.30 PM and 02.00 PM to 04.30 PM on each day.
